Great value for your buck!

Bought this 6-months ago after comparing with all other LCDs on the market. Price per performance of Samsung TV has definitely defeated Sony. Amazing color and vivid picture. Has memory for all Audio and Video setup for each input so you don't need to reconfigure everytime you watch TV or DVDs/VCR. Easy to navigate remote control. I like the customized audio setting in watching movies. It has a touch sensitive control bar on the right side of the front panel, though it is hard to see, I wish they add a backlight into it will become helpful to turn "ON" and "OFF" the TV if you can't find the remote. Some of my friend who has the same TV doesnt know about it unless you really put your face closeup to see the "invisible" control bar. Great value for your money! I would definitely recommend this product. I Can't wait to upgrade my DVD player to Samsung BD-P3600 bluray.

I was upgrading from an 18 year old set. Just wanted "bigger" and man, this is one terrific TV. The delivery guy was even impressed.

A good product for your money

This tv was a great buy for the whole family. Very easy to hook up. Easy instructions. Great picture, sound and features. My kids love it for there ps2 game system. I would recommend this tv to anyone.

I bought the 40" version of this and am so very pleased with that purchase that I can only imagine this model being more of the same high quality. The absolute best picture I've seen for the money is with Samsung and that was in a comparrison side by side with 7 different brands.

Excellent TV

I have this TV connected to Dishnetwork with HD and an off air antenna. This TV has an excellent picture. I would highly recommend this TV for anyone in this price range. The only negative thing I've found is that the picture in a picture only works with analog channels which are no longer available in my area.

Problems - Be forewarned!

I purchased this set less than 2 years ago, and so now it is out of warranty. I'm having a much documented problem with first the sound levels, and now the set is intermittenly shutting down then starting back up on it's own. Picture is excellent! Very nice design. Sound is okay, but I tried to use TV through surround sound, but had to modify my setup because of sound issues with the TV set itself. (Set would intermittenly drive my surround sound to max volume if I turned TV speakers completely off) Very expensive set for what I ended up with!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unique Contemporary Design matched with Quality

I'm a big fan of the Touch of Color Series. The room we put this TV in just happened to have some red accents so this was a natural choice from a design standpoint. It looks fantastic even when it turned off. In terms of performance, I've had no issues to date. It works everytime and picture always looks great. Firmware updates have been easy so far.
The reason I can't give 5 stars in the Performace and feature category relate more design details and operations. Eventhough I like the design, the glossy screen on an LCD was ill-advised. I thought it wouldn't be a problem and for the most part it's a non-issue. But when it's a sunny day, glare and brightness/contrast can become problematic. We either move our viewing spot or close the curtains.
I also find the "Auto-Motion" 120 Hz refresh option to be unnatural in appearance and unusable for typical TV and movie viewing. It's hard to describe but when it's engaged, the image is almost too smooth and seems to get out of sync with the audio. The only thing I turn it on for is sports or any other live TV.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the TV.

I bought the LCDTV 2 yrs ago. So far so good. The picture quality is good. Enough ports to hook HDMI cables. The only problem which i did not realize when i was buying it, that the TV speakers were behind and this effects the sound a little bit. But this issue can be overcome with home theater system if one is realy picky about sound quality. Moreover its 120Hz which gives a good picture output. With the advent of 3Dtv and LEDs its value may have gone down but it is one of a kind.
