The holster keeps the phone quickly accessible and prevents accidental dialing. The materials are sturdy and the phone fastens into the holster securely so it will not accidentally fall out. Also the clip that also can also be used to turn the holster into an easel is great when watching videos.

I picked my own color combo on the website. My phone has dropped 3 or 4 times on the concrete and there was no damage. I wish the cover was a little less slick so it wouldn't slide across slick surfaces easily.

A little pricy, but better than insurance for breakage. I am 91 years old, with hand problems that cause me to drop my iPhone when getting in and out of the car as well as other places. I have used the Otter Box defender for several years. I sometimes drop it in parking lots 3 to 4 times a week. I finally cracked the plastic frame, but no damage to the phone. Customer service at the Otter Box web site is also outstanding. After spending too much time trying to find an exact replacement with on-line shopping I called Otterbox customer service. Within minutes the lady who answered found the exact replacement and it arrived before she had promised.
One caveat: I already had a very good thick screen protector, so I had to remove the Otterbox screen protector because they are built to such tight tolerances for dust and moisture protection. Their screen comes off easily using a hair dryer. Undoubtedly I VOIDED any warranty, but from my perspective, 'Who needs a warranty with an Otterbox Defender"?
One caveat: I already had a very good thick screen protector, so I had to remove the Otterbox screen protector because they are built to such tight tolerances for dust and moisture protection. Their screen comes off easily using a hair dryer. Undoubtedly I VOIDED any warranty, but from my perspective, 'Who needs a warranty with an Otterbox Defender"?
