We have to admit that this is perplexing, since this specific case was designed with full device functionality in mind. Regardless, our friendly Otters will be glad to remedy the situation with a warranty claim, so please feel free to call them at 1-855-688-7269. They'll send you a replacement case that should allow complete, uninterrupted access to your phone's fingerprint scanner!

Good purchase. My only Complaint about this product is the plastic covering on the home button. There are times my finger won’t allow me to open my phone with Touch ID because the plastic gets in the way. So I have to type my passcode in.
