I bought this for my boyfriend and he loves how sturdy it is, but ever since he put it on his phone it has become almost impossible to hear each other when we call. On both ends everything sounds muffled so we end up having to scream into our phones in order to hear each other. It's a very protective case made with high quality material but it's just so thick that it covers the mic and speaker. Unless you have a job that requires a heavy duty phone case, I would definitley recommend getting a different style otterbox.

That is odd and understandably disappointing that your boyfriend’s Defender case is making it difficult to have a conversation. We assure you that this is not at all typical and we absolutely want to clear things up! Please give our friendly Otters a call at 1-855-688-7269, and we will be more than happy to get to the bottom of this dilemma. If needed, we can easily get a new warranty replacement case arranged.

Ever since my first iPhone I've been using these cases and they have saved my phones probably dozens of times. The only thing I don't like is the plastic screen protector which I quickly dispose of and replace with a glass one.
