Keep in mind, that is a multilayer OtterBox, so it requires an inner shell to be complete. It looks like we no longer have that inner shell available individually, but if you call us at 1-855-688-7269, we'd be more than happy to start a return for you and see what full case options we still have in stock!

As clumsy as I am, I like putting my iPhone in an Otterbox Defender. I never have to worry about my phone. I don't have to be careful with it. I don't have to have a heart attack every time I drop my phone worrying I've cracked the glass.
I love the built in screen protector because I hate those clingy things that you put on to protect the screens. There's always a bubble or something that annoys me.
Cons: makes phone a built bulky, but It's worth it for the protection imo

This is the the third OtterBox Defender iPhone case I have purchased. The first one was for my iPhone 3Gs. After over a year of hard use, I removed the phone from the case to clear it before trading it in for an iPhone 4s. The 3Gs was in virtually new condition - not one scratch or ding - after having been dropped more times than I can remember. Got an OtterBox Defender for the 4s. Kept the 4s much longer than I intended. When I removed it from the case to clear it before trading it in, I found it to be in virtually new condition. Recently ordered a new iPhone 6s plus, which I won't receive for another 2 to 3 weeks. I've already ordered and received a new OtterBox Defender for it. Obviously I haven't used the new case yet, but it is just as well designed and sturdy as the previous two I've had. I expect it to protect my new iPhone just as well as the other two cases protected the iPhones I put in them. The OtterBox Defender is not inexpensive, but you definitely get what you pay for: the best protection you can get for your expensive phone. At my recommendation, some of my family members have bought OtterBox Defenders and they too are 100% satisfied with them. The first thing they do when they buy a new phone is to order the OtterBox Defender made for it. They add a little bulk and they're not stylish, but if protection is what you're looking for, nothing beats an OtterBox Defender.

I have never used anything other than the Defender case on every iPhone I have owned. This latest one is for my 6S+ and has protected my phone from a 1 story drop already... Nothing but great experience with Otter.

The cover is almost as heavy as a brick. So far, it has done it's job. I wish they a credit card holder for this size. It would make it easier to not carry a wallet at all times.
