In order to keep my unlimited data plan, I must pay full retail price for my iphone. For a 6S Plus 128GB, that's well over $ 1K. Only an Otterbox Defender case can protect my brand new iphone like no other case on the market. All of us drop our phones from time to time. Because these phones just go everywhere with us, if you have not yet dropped your iphone, you eventually will. With a Defender case, you will worry much less about damaging your phone. It's a little bulky, but it beats having to shell out another grand to buy a new phone. I have never owned an iphone without it's corresponding Otterbox Defender Case.

It has protected my phone very well. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that the fit over my screen is not great. I had an otter box for my Samsung, and it fit perfectly. The screen protector on my iPhone 6s plus, however, doesn't sit flush on the screen and I have to smack the screen with my fingers to make contact. I do love the color and the protection, just poor screen cover fit.

Astonishingly tough

I work in construction, dropped my IPhone from 10 feet to a concrete floor - no problems.
Accidentally ran over my IPhone with my half ton 4 wheel drive truck - nothing was damaged.
Maybe it's just luck or the maybe the defender is just that good.

The rubber shell of the otterbox absorbs residue from hands too quickly and is almost impossible to remove causing the case to appear filthy. I do not like the appearance of case now. The case otherwise is very protective of iphone.

Nicer design than the Defender case for my old 5S iPhone. Thus far the new 6S Plus Defender case seems sturdier than my old 5S case.
The rubber flaps to access the iPhone plug jacks are better made and open in the opposite direction vs the older case. Hopefully that should help keep the outer rubber case from separating from the hard plastic under shell, like what happened with my older 5S case.
One note to be aware of: When I first got my new case and I was installing it, there is a very thin plastic piece over the home button. I thought it was supposed to be removed, but it is not meant to be removed. It is meant to keep the dust out. There weren't any mention of it in the instructions, so don't try to peel it off!

Bring back the old defender case!

I've got an iPhone 6 Plus with a tempered glass protector and the otterbox defender case on it. I don't like the new design. Compared to the defender case I have for my iPhone 4, I could drop that one all the time and doesn't break. But this new defender case design for the iPhone 6 Plus, is way to slim. Yes the old design was thicker and big. That it'll just make the iPhone 6 Plus more bulky. I wouldn't care. As long as I trusted the old design better, that's all that matters.
