Smartest Choice Ever Made

I looked at LCD tvs for 3 months comparing the Samsung to Sony, LG, Toshiba and the rest. I ended up purchasing the Samsung LN 40 A450 and I could not be happier!!! The clarity of this set will blow you away on blu ray. The settings that you chose are all specific to the input you are using. So you can have diffrent settings for each input. If there is a more tweakable set out there I haven't found it! All of my friends that have seen this set have fell in love with it. If you are hesitant about it not bein 1080p, don't hesitate. At this size you will not notice the diffrence at all. Buy it if you can find it. You won't regret it! Thanks Samsung!

This was an awesome buy. I have had my tv for over a year now but the picture is great. I am thinking of buying my girlfriend one of the newones out. Samsung is really a great tv and great price too.

Best HD LCD TV you can have

This TV was a purchase for my bedroom. It is perfect. I love the look of all Samsung TV's. My bedroom is in black and red, just after I purchased this black set Samsung came out with the red boarder (I want It!). This is the best TV you can get Samsung Rocks when it comes to HD LCD TV.

GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE! PURCHASED FROM NEWEGG ON 11/24/08.
PICTURE IS OUTSTANDING! SENDING THE TRUE SRS SOUND THROUGH MY BASIC SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM MAKES IT SOUND BRAND NEW.
MENUS ARE EXTENSIVE LETTING YOU SET EVERYTHING INCLUDING FLESH TONE, BUT USING THE DNLE ENGINE REEALLY LETS THE TV SET ITSELF! AND IT REMEMBERS THE SETTINGS FOR EACH HDMI COMPONENT YOU HOOK IT UP TO.
THE REMOTE SENSOR IS ON THE RIGHT HAND BOTTON WHICH IS GREAT BECAUSE IT ALLOWS YOU TO PUT YOUR FRONT SURROUND SOUND SPEAKER DEAD CENTER IN FRONT OF THE TV.
SAMSUNG ONCE AGAIN DEMONSTRATES THEIR ABILITY TO THINK LIKE A CONSUMER IN PLANNING THE DESIGN OF THEIR PRODUCTS.
ANOTHER BONUS: REGISTER THE TV ONLINE AND SAMSUNG ADDS AN ADDITIONAL 3 MONTHS TO THE ONE YEAR IN HOME WARRANTY.
ALL IN ALL, A GREAT TV FROM A GREAT COMPANY!

I got this as a Christmas gift. It was easy to set up for an electronics-challenged person like me! The picture is so clear and sharp---it compared favorably to the MUCH more expensive Sony sets I looked at. I also got a Samsung dvd player as well. The ANYNET system is very cool!! so easy to set up. The speakers are a little weak, but o.k. for basic t.v. viewing. The glossy finish on the set and the remote will show fingerprints & dust, I would have prefered a matte finish
