Great TV

I have had this tv for over a year and absolutely love it. It has everything you need in an LCD and enough inputs for all of your "toys". The viewing angle is incredible; you will not be disappointed. I have and will continue to recommend this tv to friends/family.

This model had issues with the known problem "auto on" and died after a burst of on than offs.Returned to store and was replaced with the 630 model.Hope this one last longer than the 650 did.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Firmware update does not fix shutoff problem

For the first couple months the shutoff problem only affected my TV once or twice a week. Now everytime I turn my TV on it turns itself on and off over and over. Everytime I try to watch it it gets worse.
So I followed the instructions from this website and updated the firmware. Problem still not fixed.
Honestly this is a great TV with a wonderful picture, but this shutoff problem is a major issue and until Samsung does something to fix it I will not recommend it to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great TV -1 tiny flaw - not TV related

I've had the set for 6 months. The best TV I've seen. Rated it 5 stars. Now for the tiny flaw (I'm calling tomorrow to see if it can be fixed).
On the bottom of the frame (plastic, or whatever material). little tiny stress cracks (my definition) are starting to show. When the sun, or light hits them just right, they look like about 6 or 7 tiny ant size specks on the bottom of the frame. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The frame has never been touched or come in contact with anything. It's like a plastic glass with those tiny cracks in it (about 6 or 7 at the moment). (It wouldn't stop me from giving the set a 5 star rating).
I would recommend this to a friend!

"I have had this TV for about 8 mounths now and couldn't be happier. The Quality of picture is amazing, This is my second LCD and by far the best. "The tv is a little pricy but if you are looking for amazing picture quality this tv is much more afordable than others with the same picture quality."

Good Picture

Started off wonderful. In 2weeks had to do a firmware update to fix the shutting off issue. That cured the problem. Again it seemed to be great TV again. After the warranty ran out 1yr. 3months it would not turn on again. Lucky I bought a 3yr extended warranty. called service company and they sent out someone in 2 days to pick it up. It took the service people one month to get the defective power supply that had went bad. Found this problem after search on web of this fairly common problem. Make's me wonder if this was a good purchase!

I have had this TV for over 1 yr. I can't say enough about the high quality picture especially when on HDTV channels. It looks like the images are right in the room with you. I have had people come over and watch tv and just be amazed. I LOVE IT. Could not ask for a better LCD TV.

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TV. I WAS A BIG TIME SONY FAN AND I SWITCHED TO SAMSUNG AFTER I STEPPED IN TO A FRY'S ELECTRONICS STORE AND SEEN THE SAMSUNG LN52A650 AND THE SONY KDL52XBR6 NEXT TO EACH OTHER I SEEN THAT THE SAMSUNG BEAT THE SONY IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE ABOUT THIS TV IS THAT THE CONTROL PANEL IN THE FRONT OF THE TV DOES NOT LIGHT UP SO I CANT SEE THE VOLUME/CHANNEL/POWER BUTTON ON THE TV. SO I AM OBLIGATED TO USE THE REMOTE.
I would recommend this to a friend!
