Simple and efficient!

I'm not quite sure why this coffee maker got bad reviews. Must be bad luck. I really like this coffee maker! I've had a couple of Keurig machines and found them to be an expensive and wasteful way of making coffee. This B&D machine is very simple to use and easy to clean. I need to use two K-cups to make the amount of coffee drink. It's much easier to make my servings with this coffee maker. Love the hot plate that keeps the coffee hot until I get to it. My wife and I love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as advertised.

I specifically purchased this coffee maker as it had an auto shut off. Our Black & Decker one at home has it and is an awesome machine. The store advertised it as auto shut off - YES and even this website leaves you wondering as the description reads "coffee stays hot for one hour" - well what happens at the end of that hour? Nothing. The plate and everything stays on and hot. It is being returned. I found another brand to purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using this for about 4 years now. It's a great product for my daily cuppa.
But a few days ago the carafe broke. Where do I find a 5-cup replacement carafe?

I love coffee and I love my coffee maker. Always buy black and decker coffee makers because they last. This coffee maker is very simple to use and my coffee comes out great every time! Classic.

Just disappointed...5 cup coffee maker makes barely warm coffee ,....makes 5= 6 ounce "cups" (although a cup is 8 ounces)....just fine for senior bachelor and the price was good.
But the cold coffee- bad....: (....making the price ,..bad.
Cannot even take it back as I have misplaced the bill : (.....
Normally read product reviews,...sorry I did not on this purchase....

Great for Dorm!!

A lot of these reviews are really negative, but I have no problem with my little coffee maker! It is perfect with my little coffee bar in my dorm, I use it to make iced coffee by brewing 5 cups and then putting it in a glass jar in my fridge!
I am a coffee fanatic and this machine is perfect, especially on a budget.

Makes coffee taste bitter or sour?

The coffee maker makes the coffee tastes bitter. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found this. I thought I was doing something wrong. I tried so many coffee brands and all taste bitter.
