I had been a loyal LG customer for many years until I purchased four of these monitors. Within six months of the warranty expiring two of the four bit the dust. I am now awaiting the final two to go.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stylish 22"

This monitor has been used for over 3 months now, and I have to say I like it. The picture quality is great, and it looks good on my desk. The controls are on the bottom of the frame of the monitor, so they are not easy to use. You should only have to do that once, so I wouldn't detract too much from that one thing.
The base gets scratched too easily if I slide my keyboard on to it.
I like the way it looks, and I would buy it again if they still made this model.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design
Cons: Difficult to use

The monitor controls are extremely hard to use and it is impossible to read the light sensitive controls while the monitor is lit. In my opinion the controls are practically worthless

What's to say? I love it. Fantastic image quality, ease of setup and use. The only thing I would have added would be a wall mount option.

This monitor is a fantastic value. The picture is crystal clear, the colors look great and I've never seen any ghosting. I do agree with other reviewers that the controls are difficult to use, but I rarely use them so it doesn't bother me. Also, I've noticed that the picture is a little dark when you first turn it on and takes a while to brighten up. But these are minor complaints for an otherwise great product. What a bargain!

So far, this monitor has been everything that I was hoping it would be. Nice size with sharp colors. The blacks are great on this thing.
The tilt feature feels kinda stiff, almost like it could break easily, but I assume as long as I don't roughly handle it, everything should be fine.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality
Cons: awkward tilt

The picture on the monitor is great and it takes up almost no space on my desk. It would be better if it was more adjustable in terms of height or angle, but for the price it's a great deal.
