Turbo fast, and high heat tub cleaning

Bought all new LG kitchen and laundry appliances due to the excellent reviews in several leading websites and consumer publications. I have yet to regret it! The stainless metal exteriors are a snap to clean, and each device feels solid, well thought out and constructed. For the washer, it is super quiet compared to my old unit. The steam functionality is something I never realized I needed, but now I know that the steam is gentler on fabrics and can sanitize where my old "super hot water heater" had to do all the work in the past. Turn down the hot water heater and save! This washer saves water, detergent and wear and tear on the fabrics compared to my old top loader. The turbo mode can wash and dry (with my matching LG Dryer) in less time than it took my old washer to finish its basic cycle alone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this washing machine!

This is the best washing machine I have ever used. I was warned that the door and rubber piece could get moldy, so I just leave it open after I use it until everything has dried and haven't had an issue. The directions say to dry it, so you could do that if you prefer. I really like how it senses each load to determine how long the load should run for. The end of cycles notification chime is delightful and so much better than the nerve racking buzzing sound I had grown accustomed to hearing and muting. It is so easy to use that my 9 year old can start a load on her own. I am very happy that I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase this machine. It has made doing laundry far less tedious!

Smell, Leaks, Etc
on November 25, 2015

Purchased both Washer and Dryer combo. Both have failed. The washer leaks from the door (gasket is fine). Our clothes stink. How can this be???? Looks like we are going back to Whirlpool top loader and selling these horribly expensive and useless machines. We would return them in heartbeat but unfortunately we moved overseas and can't.
Good luck to whoever has these.

Damaging clothes; banging, squeaking
on December 4, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second washer of this make and model, after replacing the first within the year (and after literally tens of hours on customer service calls). The combination of the drum sliding 'out of round' while rotating and the general vigorousness of the washer means that I can't use it on anything stronger than Delicate/Permanent Press and Low spin, and even then I find occasional damage, especially seam thread pulls. On higher speeds, it has yanked single or clumps of threads from towels, and punctured or torn holes in garments. The drum can be heard falling 'out of round' at various points in the cycle, causing banging and/or squeaking noise while running. I'm now genuinely worried to wash my clothes for fear of damage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd actually rate it a 4.5...the clothing tangles when there are more than 3 long sleeve shirts on a load. Clothing comes out clean. The unit was not working one time...I used the app for diagnostics and repair...FANTASTIC! Now I have the refrigerator with the Thinq technology and the wall oven is on the way. My home is becoming the LG smart appliance home of my neighborhood.

We bought the washer in 2016 and the drain pump quit working 2 weeks ago. It’s under warranty but the authorized repairmen are more expensive. The warranty doesn’t cover labor.

A NEW CLEAN
on August 15, 2014

We purchased this washer and matching dryer 2 months ago and couldn't be more pleased. Admittedly they replaced a top load washer but the difference in cleaning ability is amazing, what used to be stains aren't anymore. The ease of use and ability to customize cycles is a great feature. The washer is quiet and energy and water efficient. This is a happy LG family!

We have owned this washer for several months now. Absolutely love all the features. We have used all the settings and they all are great. The capacity is large enough for our comforter and sheets at the same time. Definitely would recommend purchasing.
