Leap TV Dance & Learn not so much fun

For the first 2 days, my kids enjoyed it even though we were having difficulty getting the camera eye to recognize them. We even opened windows and turned on a lot of lights hoping that would help. Finally, they got tired of fighting with it and by day 3, when I would ask if they want to play, they say no. The kids were also looking forward to "dancing" but that's not really what it entails. Seems to be more of a 'reach and grab at things' game. I'm a bit disappointed and feel like it was a waste of money. I bought it because I wanted an active game and because of the high ratings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Its has everything involved; educational, movement and just over all fun for kids! My daughter is 5 I purchased for our snowed in days when I need her to excerpt some energy and its been a blessing! She has learned so much from all the different characters her favorite is the banana boogie and dino dance!
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Educational

A lot of fun!

We got this for our old kids, but its so easy to play, the younger ones enjoy it just as much. Gets them jumping, swinging, and going in every direction! They cant get enough of this game, it's so beloved we regularly use it as reward. Also like how once the games started, you don't need a controller, and 4 people can play in turn at one time.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play, Educational

Good, Active, Fun!

This is a fun game! My girls have joined in on some of the other video game dance games on their older sibling's consoles, but the music is not always appropriate, and it is tough for them to get the choreography down while holding a controller. THis LeapTV Dance and Learn Game is a dancing game that is appropriate, fun, and educational as well!
I love that the Dance & Learn Leap TV game can be played with multiple palyers with only one controller. I also like that the children do not need to dance while holding the controller (this will avoid many a black eye!). The music is fun, the dancing is active. . .and they make me get up and dance with them, so I get a little (or a lot) of exercise as well!
My girls have so much fun that they don't even know that they are learning reading, phonics and vocabulary--but it is not lost on me!
Disclosure: I received a copy of this game to facilitate my review, however, all opinions are my own and I was not required to give a positive review.

My grandsons had fun dancing!

Last week LeapFrog asked me to review and share my opinions of a couple of the games they loaded on the LeapTV they sent me for review; so since my grandsons were over yesterday, we hooked the LeapTV up and had them spend some time playing the two games I was asked to review - LeapTV Dance and Learn Game and LeapTV Sports! Game . . . a lot of fun, laughing and moveing went on at this grandma's house and I'm very happy to share my opinions of these two games with you today!

Favorite Features -
Both games have several options and ways to play, so each of these is really like getting nine games for children to play!
Each game involved children having to solve simple math, or vocabulary/word problems while they play!
More than one way to play - with controller, pointer or by "putting themselves in the game" and moving!
My grandsons - and their dad especially loved the Skateboard and Snowboard games!
LeapFrog says; "Dance, sing and move to the music in nine games which teach early reading skills. Children will love being the star of their own dance party as they appear on TV to drum out rhymes, slap together compound words, flutter like feathers and dance like dinos. Double the fun by inviting a friend! Designed for children ages 4-7 years, LeapTV Dance and Learn Game works with the LeapTV Educational, Active Video Game System." And they had this to say about LeapTV Sports! Game; "Become a mathematics MVP! Get up and get learning with nine exciting sports games powered by active play. My grandsons really loved LeapTV Sports! Game - especially the Snowboard and Skateboard games! They enjoyed becoming "part" of the other games as well - especially with the Swimming and Karate games. We had a little trouble with some of the sports games recognizing and registering their moves; which meant at times we had to restart games. There was one game which kept turning the system off when they tried to play it, but overall, it was great fun for them to see themselves on the TV playing the games in the games, so even though there were some "glitches", they still had fun! I know these games will be getting plenty of play-time with my grandsons!
They also enjoy dancing, so LeapTV Dance and Learn Game resulted in a lot of active fun at this grandma's house! They discovered if they had Caleb dance in the front and Josiah in the back (since he is taller) they could both become part of the dance/game at the same time . . . and I was able to enjoy watching my two sweet boys dance to their heart's content! They especially enjoyed "Free Dance" as they were able to dance however they liked!
LeapTV is easy to use and so much more than just another video game system. Children definitely are able to play fun games; and will be delighted at being able to actually "become" part of the games, but the two best parts with LeapTV are children move and learn while playing! LeapTV Dance and Learn Game and LeapTV Sports! Game are well written and well designed to get children moving, learning and having fun!

Fun for all

We've had this game for a few weeks and love playing it. I love that it helps my 5 & 9 year olds with their early reading skills (my 9 year old has dyslexia and is delayed in reading). When it's time to dance they really get moving! It's not only a great game to teach early reading skills, but it a great way to keep the kids active on a cold or rainy day. I love that you only need one remote so multiple people can play without having to buy extra remotes. * I received this game at no charge for review purposes, however all opinions are 100% my own.
