Hi, my Refrigerator is not working good - it turns on and off a lot and it will not keep a controlled temp. in the freezer, the temp. in the freezer went up to about 38 degrees, please contact me, as the compressor is turning on and off way to often... Thanks

Spoiled food

Long story short, I had to throw away the food in the refrigerating compartment at least three times because it spoiled. The freezer was frosting up and not letting the cold air get to the cooling compartment. I thought I had packed the freezer wrong. Food too close to the fan. Finally I called the company and they sent a repairman since it was still under the warrantee. He opened the back wall of the freezer and found that the defroster had never been plugged in. Working fine now so far.

So-so -- at least the 1-yr warranty is good

Why is there no rating between "Yes, it's amazing" and "Probably Not"? Anyway, I had to buy a new fridge that fit into the space of a condo kitchen because the previous one broke down after 9 years. (They -- generally speaking, not singling out Frigidaire -- really don't make 'em like they used to.) I was aiming for average, not extravagant and not too cheap bare-bones either. This fridge seems to fit the bill. However, I was unhappy with the fact this new fridge had a bad part and a technician had to replace the defrost terminator less than 2 months later. At least the warranty was still good and the customer service reps I talked to on the phone to get a technician were nice. It seems to work fine now. So, if there is ANY inkling that your fridge is not working properly, call customer service and use that warranty right away!

Too Noisy

The fridge is okay for the money, but is way too noisy. If I would have known, I would have bought something else. Also, the freezer doesn't come with a full rack, only a small one for the ice tray.

Simple and Economical

Had to replace a 15 year old unit that went out. This one is a little bigger than I needed but the price could not be beat. I like be deep door shelves but found if I put too much on them, the door hinge creaks. The one thing I wish it had is a meat drawer. The tempurature controls are responsive and I like that I can add an extra shelf to the freezer if I need to in the future.
