I purchased this DVD player for the picture quality it has, which is awesome by the way. It's very easy to set up and use, it's extremely lightweight and will fit just about anywhere.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance

this unit is very lightweight, easy to set up all you do is plug up the hdmi cable and your done, no clock on the front but otherwise great unit.
Pros: Quality, easy to use, Performance

Makes my old DVDs enjoyable

Have really enjoyed viewing my old SD DVDs on the LG DN898. Easy set up with an HDMI cable to my LG 32 LCD TV. Was blown away at the clarity and color in the 1st Star Wars DVD I popped in. Enjoying watching some old favorites again with the upconvertrd format. Has added extra value to these old DVDs.

The LG DN898 performance is very good.
Biggest problem I have that is very aggravating is that the TV volume control on the remote does not repeat when depressed. I have to continuously press & release the control to get the volume to change. I could understand this 10 years ago, but not today.

DN898 DVD Player

I like the design; thin, sleek, and fits complementarily with my cable box and tv. It's hardly noticeable on the shelf. The set up was completed without difficulties and the remote is easy to use. It plays DVD quietly and I enjoy using it to view my movies.
