Found item difficult to operate without first reading the directions. There are changes in this product from my old DVD Player.
Pros: Style/Design

Good but not great

Upconversion looks excellent. Problem with my universal logitech remote so that when I pause a movie it won't play unless I go find the cheap remote that the unit came with. I like the USB support so we can use with thumb drives to display jpegs but I wish it also allowed .avi movies. That would be awesome!

Outstanding for the price!

I have had this DVD player for 7 months hooked up via HDMI to a Visio 32" in the bedroom. I love this product. Its easy to use, the menus are simple and the picture quality is outstanding. I love the USB function where I can plug in and watch videos. My one and only minor complaint is that I wish it played more types of video files and supported HD files. I can convert the files on my pc but it loses substantial picture quality but is still viewable. I would definitely reccoment this product as any LG product that I have owned.

I Purchased this DVD Up Convert Player back in July, it has performed flawlessly!! excellent player for the money!!

Best bang for the buck

I needed a quick replacement DVD player and after reviewing several makes and models, I could do no better than the DN898. Setup was a breeze. And no one could touch the price. I'm very satisfied with this LG product and would highly recommend it.

This is a good dvd player and is very easy to use!! It has good picture quality and plays everything. Very good alternative if you dont have the money to purchase a blueray player.
