Worked fine for 9 months

Worked fine for 9 months until we used the self cleaning option. Undocumented error codes rendered the range unusable 4 times, twice turning off the breaker reset the unit but the other two times we had to call service (which usually takes a week or two to schedule an appointment, order parts, have parts delivered and schedule a second appointment to have parts installed). No fun with a family with kids. We were told not to use the self cleaning option and don't cook at high temps for a long time.
The range takes 30 minutes to warm up to 400F in convection bake, so we stopped preheating and just add some more minutes to the cooking time.
The top is picky about any liquid on the controls, starts beeping if it happens and/or stops working at all with an undocumented error code until breaker is pulled.
Now we are out of warranty, not using the self cleaning option and when it breaks again I will get a new range that works - probably not from Electrolux
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Close, but some glaring flaws.

I've had my built in range for about 9 months and it looks great, but I miss a visible clock. This one is only visible if you are standing over it. It's beautifully sleek, but the tacky rubber gasket/edging around the cook top and the control panel catches dust and crumbs (and yuck, dog hair) and is a PAIN to clean and keep clean, Why not just make a solid glass surface with no metal rim and no sticky rubber gasket? My biggest gripe is that when I turn on a burner, the fan between the oven door and the cook top blows cold air on my legs..not fun in an Ohio winter, even the mild one we just had! Electrolux, please tell me how to turn this off!! Why does the fan need to come on with the cook top, anyway? My only solution is to put on an oil cloth apron to deflect the cold air. As far as the baking options, it all works like an expensive convection range should work, it's just some ill conceived design details that don't stick out at you until you are using it. I'm sorry I only had the "Yes, it's amazing" or "Probably Not" options for recommending it. It works well, but it needs some changes. I'm not sure I can ever LOVE it the way it is. So if I recommend it, it will be on the condition the design "flaws" are corrected in future models.

style over substance

I had 2 ranges delivered before getting a 3rd one for keeps. That should have been an indicator. The oven door doesn't hold like it's advertised to do, the large burner on the left isn't heating to its maximum and after running the self clean for the first time the fan became noisy. Now one of the bars in the numerals of the display has gone out! I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the whole electric control blows, all this just as the warranty is expiring!
I am definitely not impressed.

Looks great in store; not so much when in use

Purchased to replace a 13 year old ceramic slide in range and wanted a convection plus a double oven feature. Something the sales person will probably not tell you: a back filler kit will be needed as range will not be flush against back wall. As other people have noted, the black ceramic cooktop is very difficult to keep clean; there are constant smudges and smears regardless of following all Electrolux instructions and using recommended products. The biggest complaint is that I tried the self clean cycle 1 month after purchase and it did not work. Repair person must replace door lock and probably the electronic oven control. Again, other reviewers have noted problems fairly soon after purchase with defective parts. Bottom line: looks great initially with lots of bells and whistles but, reliability and quality extremely suspect. Awfully expensive for shoddy quality.

Love the sleek look of this stove and the functionality. It can work hard for those Holiday dinners as it has a convection oven and a conventional smaller oven. It is easy to clean, heats up super fast, much faster than my Jenn-Air which this Electrolux replaced. It has a warming mode for both top cooking and for the ovens, plus a slow cooker. The Touch controls are great and look so good. So glad I finally chose this one over the others I was looking at. This slide in range is a workhorse yet looks superr up against my new backsplash. I LOVE the slide out shelves in the oven. No more squeaks and pulling. They just glide out effortlessly. I highly recommend this range.

Built in 30" Range defective parts

I strongly advice Eletrolux not to make this model anymore. I purchased this 30" slinde wave stove May 2011 and on to now i don't have a stove to cook with I got it exchanged becuase it started with errors on the dashboard. Error E was on one burner and the next burner error15 came up and it would never come back to work, The Tech guys came severals times to to repair and was not able to fixed it so I had to exchanged my unit. I have the new one now and I am still having a different problem; Only one burner can light at a time even though I tried seperate breaker for it and I do still have the same problem. The Tech guy came several times again with new parts and fixed and it works for a month and it back to the same problem. I do not advice or recommend customers to purchase or invest in this product or model its a magnificient piece and I love it but I can't get my food cook so I used ,my grill until this problem is fixed or I get a new stove.
