Great looking oven

I rehabbed my kitchen entirely a year ago and I first chose the Electrolux oven for its look and I was happy to find out that it is a great oven as well, I have on one wall not only this oven but the microwave oven and the warming drawer and they present a very sleek and clean look in my contemporary kitchen. I also have a range with oven in the kitchen but I use almost exclusively my Electrolux oven, I love its ease of use, the roomy interior, the built-in thermometer. I also use quite a bit the delayed start button and it is really handy to get up in the morning and have the oven at the right temperature rather than having to wait for it to reach the desired temperature. I use the oven almost every day and it works great.

We've owned a lot of houses and a lot of appliances over a 40-year marriage but this really is the top of the line. I LOVE the racks on ball bearings that can be pulled out with 2 fingers (I have arthritis and this was a main selling feature for me). I also love that the wave-touch controls respond to a light touch of the finger not a hard press like most controls (also a selling feature for me). The oven light is very bright. The "perfect turkey" setting is wonderful--so easy! The controls disappear from view when not in use so the oven is very sleek looking. It's a beautiful appliance but most of all it performs beautifully. I love the keep warm function; I use it all the time. There are too many features too mention and that's good! This is an incredible oven. Oh and I love how the timer has a little song instead of just an annoying beep. This is well worth the money! I also bought the built-in microwave to go above it. Also wonderful!

Love the Blue!

The oven is really nice to cook in -- especially with the convection features. Food cooks very fast. The top shelf seems to cook cookies faster, they get done before the ones on lower shelves. I tried the prove once but it did not work very well. I may need some more training on it. One of the welds on one of racks broke so I had to have the shelf replaced (within 6 months) but it was no problem. Later issues may be a problem. Overall, very nice product!

great featured oven

This electrolux is a great oven. We were looking for something european not realizing electrolux has great european heritage without the sting of the high price. I looked at everything and I do not think any brand has all the features, fit and finish, and solid quality that this electrolux does. The computerized controls can seem a little daunting but have such versatility. The easy glides shelves are simply better then any others. The ramp up lighting and aqua blue interior are first class. Top Notch, simple the best and right choice for us.

Great Design - Awful Repair Experience!!

The oven is great in design, features and function - that is when it worked for the first 6-months. It took three repair attempts all by authorized Electrolux repair outfits. The first two attempts were parts change-outs for pieces that were not broken. The final repair company actually knew how to perform diagnostics and ordered the correct lower burner element and fix it right away.
Electrolux customer service was good to work with by phone. They were at a real disadvantage since their authorized repair representatives were not competent for the initial two repair attempts. Oven was out of service for approximately 3-months during the warranty work fiasco.
The oven has work well since the warranty repairs - not sure why the lower heating element would fail after only 6-months of limited use in this high-end and pricey appliance. Must have been a manufacturing problem. I'm concerned that the replacement element may also have an design defect that will show up later.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This oven is truely amazing! It's beautiful, easy to use and has many, many cooking options. I tried the "perfect turkey button" and this oven made the most sensational turkey I've ever seen...or tasted. It was effortless and the turkey looked like a picture from a Norman Rockwell painting. I LOVE this oven!!!!

All we needed and more than we could hope for

We've got a limited kitchen space availability, and no desire to increase oven size. After investigating a number of other ovens in the 27" range- and even trying one other seemingly high quality oven, we were left unimpressed with either quality, available interior space, or noise created by the cooling fans. This Electrolux with the Wave Touch controls has exceeded our rather lofty expectations.
The controls are friendly, the ramping up and down of the interior light, the controls turning themselves off after use, the roller shelves, the interior coating's thickness, the reasonably quiet fan, and the efficiency have all been exemplary. Really, the same reasons we've bought all our other Electrolux appliances- far superior at only slightly more cost.

The only down sides: the fan is clearly audible, but far more quiet than competitors offerings. Presumably due to the efficiency, it does takes a little longer to heat up to cooking temperature, but there is a fast heat up button if needed for your cooking. That's it. Two quibbles, and they are minor at most. If you're considering this (and assume you are if you've read this far), then go for it. You won't be disappointed.
