This all-in-one HP printer is the best. All HP products are excellent. I do alot of printing and it delivers amazingly. It even has a two-sided device. My old HP was a promotional printer (4100) series, it was time I upgraded and I am glad I did. I picked an excellent printer. Keep delivering great products.

Installation nightmare

It took me about 5 hours to get this printer installed wirelessy. After several uninstalls and reinstalls I finally got it. The install process itself is very lengthly even if things go OK. The installation for my old HP PSC 2510 was also a lengthly process. My OS is Windows Vista SP1. I was very happy that I crested a restore point before I started the process.
Once installed, everything went fine. I like the two sided printing feature. A USB cable is included along with what appears to be full ink cartriges (not "starter" cartriges).

I have used several different printers in my networked, three computer, home business. The J6480 is by far the easiest to set-up, accessible from all the networked computers, without breaking a sweat!
By far the best feature is the automatic double sided printing. Print quality is great, speed is good, rich in features.

The 250 sheet tray is good, 500 sheets would have been better. Documentation is lacking; cheap paper, not very comprehensive.
One of the best multi-function printers I have ever had and it seems that HP has got their Vista act together!

I was tired of my old HP 960c printer and 7400c flatbed scanner. I wanted just one unit to get back some space around my setup. I read a lot of reviews on several all-in-ones and decided on this J6480. I never gave another manufacture a thought. I have never had anything but satisfactory service from HP's computers and printers and other items I have purchased from them for the last 15 years.
I took me almost as long to unpack this unit than it did to install it and print my first sheet of paper. Printing, photos and scans look so much better than my old unit. Worth every penny.
Installation was a breeze on Windows XP Home edition. I am not having any problems with my XP computer now so I don't see any need to purchase a new one with Vista. It does eveything I need it to do.
If your looking for a 4-in-oner for a great price, I would highly recommend this one. It's designed a little more for a business than for home use. One of the reasons I bought it was its a little more than what I need now but the extras are there for a probable need in the future. The other reason was the price. For all the features, I don't think you can find another quality unit for a better price.

I had read that some people had had trouble with this model, primarily with the software. It was suggested that you should download the operating suite and driver software from here, so I did. It installed flawlessly, I've been able to print photos from programs like Photosuite, scan enlarge and print again photographs with great results and the color copies are great looking. Wireless connecting was a snap and I'm very pleased with the printer. A great All-In-One at a very good price. The only feature that I've not tried since receiving it today is the Fax. So far no complaints. It even set the clock automatically once it was linked to the computer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It´s quality when you printt is amazing-, and it printss really, really fast!!! I haven´t use the fax yet, i usually use it to printt scann and copy i use it for college and it´s perrmonce is fantastic!!

Easy install. I down loaded the softwarefrom HP, As I have heard of problems with the CD that come with the product. I use the AIO with a Desktop and a wireless lap top. All functions of the AIO work great. Being wireless was the selling factor for me. I would recomend the product.
