Just out of the 12 month warranty and broken

Bought this 25 Aug 2015, just out of 12 month warranty and the condenser fan is out and the center wall and both doors hot to the touch. My Grandparent, parents and I have had GE's that lasted for 15 plus years but these days the workmanship and parts suck. And No I didn't buy an extended warranty because why should I have to if I am relying on the past great quality of GE products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Biscuit color side by side is beautiful!

Looked for a biscuit colored fridge off and on for year. All my other appliances were biscuit and were working well so did not want to replace all. The advantage of biscuit is that it really brightens up the whole room and it's so easy to keep clean. Pure white fridges appear institutional in my opinion. Didn't feel the need to sacrifice interior space for the water/ice hook up so salesman said I could simply throw homemade ice cubes in the interior ice maker and the ice dispenser would work. Tried it this AM - perfecto. No need to buy expensive water filters either. But my real thrill came after installation. The textured, magnet doors were absolutely beautiful, very glossy, and reflected other lighting in the room. The other draw to this model is that it has 2 sweet spot extra shelves in the freezer to help balance the loss of space due to water/ice machine.
I've only had it 3 days but I've already sent my kids 3 pictures of my shiny new toy!

I had a very specific space to fill, and this fit perfectly. Got cold quickly and ice and water in the door are a great feature. Great price too!

Replacement for Counter Depth Model

We purchased this refrigerator as a replacement for our 24 year old counter depth model. Unfortunately, we couldn't replace it with another counter depth in almond since GE has discontinued the color in the counter depth version. We chose this model since it was the narrowest of the regular size models in almond and it fits pretty well. It holds its temperature well and is quieter than my previous fridge except when releasing the ice. The interior finish isn't as nice as our previous model but I like the fact that it has three bins in the fridge. The bottom bin is small, but the other two are good sized. I hope it lasts longer than the 7 years that we have been told to expect. We have all GE appliances and have found the quality to be excellent.
