Nice looking - Glad GE still has Bisque

Replaced an almost identical model (lasted 14yrs...not as long as I expected) The new model has the snack compartment moved lower in the unit and it is not moveable to any other location as it was in my older model. Also, GE has changed configuration of shelves from 3 glass adjustable shelves to only 2 glass adjustable shelves. Hope I get more than 14 years of service from this unit !!

Refrigerator light is not located in user friendly location. Bisque matched kitchen. Hard to find these days.

Disappointed in changes made to the design

I bought this model because I wanted a bisque color to match my antique white cabinets.This was the largest model you make in that color. The GE model I replaced it with was at least 12-15 years old (came in the house when we bought it) I wouldn't have replaced it except it was very noisy and I was afraid it would go kaput without notice. The old refrigerator was MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE.Why do you have the idea that ,if someone buys a bisque color appliance ,they would want ugly BLACK on it ? The temperature setting window is in black which detracts from the appearance and goes with NOTHING in my kitchen.The older model was all the same bisque color. And the insignia used to be a little flat one above the water/ice dispensor.Now its this big ugly protruding thing on the top corner-again in black and silver which goes with nothing . The handles are a cheap looking shiny plastic and only go partway up the doors.The old model had attractive handles in a brushed finish that extended all the way up the doors.Even the very bottom with a very prominent grate is less attractive,And the inside is less attractive as well.You should go back to your old designs-they were way more attractive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

eventually die and smell. The compressor is very quiet and extra shelf depth is valuable bonus.

Several Problems

There are several problems with this refrigerator: It does not hold a constant temperature, even when it hasn't been opened for a time; the snack drawer does not close tightly; the water dispenser drips when the glass is removed; the tray under the water dispenser does not fit tightly; and the template around the temperature readout does not fit properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really have to check doors after using!

We finally found a textured finish in bisque after being without a fridge for a few weeks. Overall happy with this but you really need to make sure you close the doors as this one doesn't close easy. We have left it open a couple of times after getting something out. Not great when you have little ones opening the doors a lot. Our old model never had this problem.

Best buy for your money!

I purchased this GE refrigerator after my last one had problems after 11-12 years (due to my error, not the refrigerator). I purchased this one because 1) it's just like my old one, only newer features, 2) GE #1 quality dependability, 3) plenty of refrigerator & freezer space, 4) ice maker that can be turned on/off, 5) runs very quietly, 6) can convert meat drawer into additional vegetable drawer, 7) has a snack drawer, deep (width x height) door shelving for 2 liter bottles, canned beverages or condiments, 8) great lighting 9) quality construction & shelving, 10)
I really like having the thermostat on the door to check the temps vs. looking at manual thermometers, & 11) choice of colors. (Last one was stainless, but it made the kitchen darker so I chose bisque this time to reflect light vs. absorbing light.) I highly recommend this GE side-by-side refrigerator as it is the best buy for your money, & will last for many years to come.
