Wait and see

This new GE unit is replacing an almost identical competitor's unit that did not make it past it's 11th birthday. We'll wait and see how long this GE unit lasts. Likes: 1. Water dispenser is fast 2. Digital display is cool 3. Quiet when running 4. It's not stainless steel Dislikes: 1. Seems to run A LOT. Not continuously, but about 50% of the time when not being opened for hours on end. Service has been scheduled. 2. Refrigerator side is a couple inches narrower than the old competitor's unit

We liked the features inside the refrigerator lots of shelve space and a place for larger items. Freezer is the right size for us.

I wish I would have "uped" to a better model. The drawers do not slide easily and you must pull drawer in the MIDDLE of pulling ledge. Also many sounds come from this model and as serviceman said its the refrigerant going from freezer to refig . This model does not have two cooling sytems It "gurgles" all the time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
