nice fridge, reasonably attractive

Bought this about a month ago, fridge and freezer performance is very good, very quiet running. However, dispensed water is not nearly cold enough, not nearly as good as with my 89 Amana 3 door - GE has to have a fix for this problem -

Great unit for the price range

This is very quite unit, and is the main reason we purchased it. It's also more energy efficient,but slightly less room inside .

We couldn't ask for a better appliance. It's quality throughout. The ice and water dispenser is used numerous times a day. The shelving in the refrigerator is easy to access and holds everything and anything. Love it.

Good general fridge

This was our second GE, we bought this to make our other a second fridge, and we also have bisque which severely limits choices. Ice maker is better, but storage not quite as good, miss the beverage shelf. Very quiet except for the gurgle sound. Since this runs more often, we hear this a lot. They should be able to muffle this better. But overall a very good side by side.

works great but lots of water noise

bought 6 mos. ago - had noisy water gulp sound like air in the water line - thought would go away - here we are 6 mos later, already changed water filter as required but still makes that noise. many reviews had similar complaints and manual spoke of noise in water line - NEVER had such an issue with any other fridge, at least there is some seperation from the living area so it is not anoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Product

With the ice maker in the door, it provides much more freezer space. Everything works great except the freezer door "clicks" when it is opened. I did not purchase the extended warranty so I am just living with it.
