works great but makes clicking noise, have to close bedroom door at night disappointed that ge would put out a product of such quality. worked for ge 35 years , was in inspection dept

Low end refrigerator with many problems.

For over 25 years we have always bought GE appliances and have always been happy. But this refrigerator has many problems. The worst problem is a loud fan noise whenever the compressor is running. The noise started a couple weeks after we bought it and it seems to be getting worse. Another problem is the ice maker. The ice maker does not crush the ice properly. Most cubes come out full size. A third problem is that the arrangement of the refrigerator bins does not allow you to store much food. Our children are grown and it barely works for us. It never would have stored enough food when the boys were still living with us. Finally, the overall fit and finish is not good. The drawers often bind and seem to be of low quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1. This refrigerator replaced another GE of the same color. Main reason for choosing this.
2. It is wider and therefore more user-friendly than the previous one, particularly the freezer.
3. The drain in the back of the freezer doesn't drain easily and creates frost on the interior at the front.

I really love the new fridge ad al my ne kitchen GE appliances I recently purchased when we remodeled our kitchen. Lots of room, filtered ice/water dispenser and hope it lasts as long as my other GE fridge lasted.

I just got my new GE fridge, and I love it! GE is the only company that I know of that still makes it's products in Bisque. All of my other appliances are also Bisque. My last GE fridge lasted 16 years, so I guess I got my moneys worth!
