Looks Great

This cooktop looks very sleek. My only problem with this cooktop is the size of the ring on the cooking surface. Two are huge and few people would have cookware that size. A smaller ring would have been helpful, too.

E-11 error

first pot of green beans and half way through it shut off and flashed E-11. We called the 800 number and they suggested we turn off the breaker to the unit and wait for 30 seconds, which it did, but every so often it still does this. Lately I've been pushing the timer off and it goes away but I suspect we got a bad unit. Something about a shorted circuit board.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A whole new world

Very happy with my purchase. The cooktop installed easily and when I turned it on I was blown away by the speed and intensity of the heat. My old cooktop was over 16 years old as I had become used to mediocrity. Love the black color and easy controls.

No space for more than 2 kettles.

Bought about month ago and do not like at all. It would be fine if you did not do much cooking but I cook for a family and you can basically only use 2 kettles at a time. So if that is what you do, then this is the cooktop for you, not me.

Functionally, I give it 5-Stars, but overall it loses a point for the ergonomics. Burners heat up fast, the large range of temperature settings are great, and the triple burner is awesome. I only have 2 complaints: layout of the burners and sensitivity of the controls. It is awkward having both small burners in the back. It is hard to get to them when you have two large pots on the large front burners. The burners are also a little too close together. The controls on the front are very convenient, but they are rather sensitive. When you open a pot of boiling water and the condensation drips off the lid onto the control area, the controls get goofy and usually shut off. Same is true if you drip something on that area and try to wipe it off with a damp rag.

Very Disappointed!

I purchased this cooktop as part of an appliance package for a kitchen remodel. Within 2 1/2 months I had to have the complete electronic portion replaced due to a "communication error" between the two boards. Besides having to wait for a service visit, it was a 3 week wait for the replacement part, leaving me without a cooktop for almost 4 weeks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
