Style over quality

Purchased this dishwasher about 3 years ago. The installer couldn't figure out how to install - not Electrolux's fault. He epoxied it to the underside of the countertop. Didn't realize that it wasn't installed reliably until the steam that comes out of the top of the dishwasher eroded the epoxy and then I just had a dishwasher sitting in its place. Pulling out the drawers with dishes tipped it forward.
Don't know if it was because of the faulty installation, but within a few months, the seals around the door started falling off. I called Electrolux and had replacements sent. A repair person replaced them and made another stab at installing, but again, just epoxied it to the counter.
Three years later, the seals have fallen off again and the dishwasher tilts forward when I pull out the bottom drawer with dishes.
The dishwasher cavity is smaller than that of the dishwasher it replaced. That didn't bother me when I bought it because it looked so good and matched my other Electrolux appliances.
What does bother me is that it doesn't really clean anything on the top shelf. I cannot get bowls clean without laying them flat on the bottom shelf. This takes up a ton of room. About half the time, a couple of plates will come out with dried on food. Because of this, I have to wash the dishes - not just rinse - before putting them into the dishwasher.
The dishwasher cannot dry plastic at all.
The dishwasher was almost silent when it was first installed, but has gotten progressively louder.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

too many problems

Manufacturers' warranty is good for one year. Shortly after the first year all the problems began.
Water hose going to motor was leaking, Error Code ER01..hose was replaced. Two days later Error Code ER 03 came on. Motor froze up due to leak. Mechanic came,ordered new motor,could not install motor,plastic base for motor was broken. It was brittle due to heat from motor, was replaced. control board was replaced. Thank goodness I had extended warranty for 4 years .Dishwasher was out for 3months due to repairs. Without an extended warranty you can forget it. The dishwasher was over $1100.00. Without the extended warranty, the repair costs would have been over $700.00 out of pocket!!! So much for buying what I thought was a " top brand". I am one very unhappy customer.

Nice.. not great for the price

Purchased as part of a package for a kitchen remodel.. beautiful looking dishwasher.. very, very quiet.. items in the top rack need to be rinsed if you want them to get clean.. it's OK.. for what we paid I was expecting more.. the feature that shuts off the dishwasher if it senses a leak failed and disabled the dishwasher.. there was no leak to be found.. feature had to be disconnected to get the dishwasher to work.. there has been no leak found after almost three years of almost daily use.. for it to work well you must use the heavy duty cycle with all options for really clean dishes.. that cycle takes almost two and a half hours..
I would recommend this to a friend!

it's wonderful

Well it all started 2 1/2 years ago when my husband and I decided to do a room addition and finish our last of the remodeling of our house, we did all the remodel ourselves adding a 22 x 24 room. the New addition was to make our kitchen bigger and add a family room. (Expecting to have grand kids running around in the future).
I wanted stainless steel appliances and shopped around a year prior, I really like the style and the technologies in the Electrolux line. One thing we wanted to do is not have any loans on this remodel project when we finished. So we bought 1 appliance at a time (bought 5), If you could see how beautiful our kitchen is, people say it should be in a magazine. Everyone loves our appliances, Our friends, love to show off our appliances during gatherings. I just sit back and smile.....we did good! Love ALL my Electrolux appliances.

Quiet & Dependable

I have been very pleased with our Electrolux Built-In Dishwasher with IQ-Touch Controls. It is very quiet when in operation, and is very easy to use. It has several settings to choose from and it gets the dishes, pots, pans, sliverware, glassware CLEAN! It is dependable and well-made. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone. Well done Electrolux!

Never again!

I purchased this dishwasher for our cabin and it didn't seem to work correctly, but I was told by the repairman that it was working exactly as intended (Note: Electrolux was a new brand to them and they really hated coming all the way out to our location). Later when I needed to have another repairman come out because the Electrolux refrigerator was not working (freezer door needed to be replaced as the water system inside the door itself had frozen completely and would not work), he looked at the dishwasher, said it needed very expensive new parts which he replaced, and now it works as it should have originally. Of course, both appliances were out of warranty.
As for using the dishwasher, I do not care for the placement angles for dishes and glasses or especially for the fact that it never totally dries the dishes. I would never buy another Electrolux dishwasher nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Worst dishwasher ever

We purchased this dishwasher on a recommendation from Sears. It has been a nitemate ever since. The dishwasher does a horrible job cleaning dishes we have a leak now the pump just went. Will never buy a Electrolux appliance again.

Worst appliance I've ever owned

This dishwasher has been a nightmare from the day it was installed. We continually get Er01, which is supposed to mean that moisture is found under the unit. We've had a tech out half a dozen times for this error, and they can never find anything indicating there is a any moisture, leak, or other problem that would cause the dishwasher to throw this error. There was a recall on the appliance and it took two techs 3 hours to basically rebuild the unit. Dishes do not get clean, even simple things like pasta sauces, coffee and tea do not get cleaned. Even when we pre-rinse dishes exceptionally well, there is always residue on a few items that cause us to have to hand wash them as we take them out of the dishwasher or run the whole load again and again. The top spray-arm does not spin EVER, before or after the rebuild. Soap does not dissolve and is left in the soap dispenser and/or is clinging to the door and bottom pan. We have tried Cascade, Finish, NextGeneration; powders, liquids and gel-packs. The dishwasher is junk.
I would recommend this to a friend!
