Love my dishwasher!!!!

I love my dishwasher. It does a great job, don't have to rinse the dishes before I wash them and great during large dinners and parties. It is so quiet!

Average dishwasher with a design flaw

When we bought our house we put in all new appliances, including this dishwasher. It is fairly quiet, although the disposal grinder makes a fair amount of noise, and it does okay at washing dishes - we have at least one plate or utensil or bowl that comes out not clean each wash. But the worst thing on this dishwasher is an apparent design flaw where the bottom rack will suddenly slide all the way out of the dishwasher when the door is down - the stops on the door are not enough to keep it from sliding out. We have had a repair technician look at it to make sure it's leveled properly and everything. Clearly the designers never tried to have a full bottom rack of dishes then pull it out to empty it. We have lost a couple of dishes from the bottom rack suddenly rolling all the way off the end of the door. Not too happy about it, wouldn't recommend.

Poor performer

We got this unit after the total failure of the first Electrolux dishwasher we bought was declared un-repairable! It was so bad and had so many problems that Electrolux gave us an upgrade to a slightly better model.
It is Quiet! That is the only good thing about it!! It does a poor job of cleaning, is interminably slow and cannot be speeded up or skip cycles once you have started it. In general it is a real disappointment! We purchased it because it looked pretty and had a basket that would hold our oversize dishes. We should have gotten different dishes!!

If you're looking for quiet, this is it!

Without a doubt, this dishwasher is the quietest I've ever (not) heard! However, our dishes don't seem to get as dry as they should - when I open the dishwasher at the end of the cycle, there's more moisture remaining than I would expect to see.

Very Quiet!

I have model EIDW6105GSI. I love how quite this dishwasher is. It looks great.
However, I don't like the fact that the controls, and indicator lights are under the counter and they are hard to see. Since it runs so quite, you are never sure when it's done, since the controls are hard to see under the counter, unless you open the door.
Also, you need to prewash the dishes, does not seem to have enough pressure to completely clean them unless they are prewashed.

Disappointed

Does not clean dried on food without a prewash hand scrubbing.
Pump leaked after one year and caused a costly repair that was past the warranty..

VERY DISAPPOINTED

OVERALL A VERY QUIET MACHINE BUT HAS BEEN INSTALLED FOR JUST OVER A YEAR AND IT HAS BROKEN DOWN SEVERAL TIMES. I HAVE HAD REPAIR PEOPLE OUT TO REPLACE THE MAIN PUMP THEN IT THE SECOND TIME THEY HAD TO REPLACE A TEMP. SENSOR AND NOW IT IS SHOWING A NEW ERROR CODE AND I HAVE TO HAVE THEM OUT FOR THE 3RD TIME. I YOU BUY THIS MACHINE I SUGGEST YOU BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY YOU WILL NEED IT.

not so hot

As far as design and how quiet the DW is, I would give it top ratings, unbelievably quiet. As far as cleaning dishes not so much, I have tried a variety of different soaps and jet dry products, only to be disappointed with the cleaning. I have even raised my water temperature in my house to 135 degrease and checked to make sure the water temp is high enough with a laser thermometer inside the DW. I would prefer the DW to be louder and actually clean dishes, I can hardly tell if the thing is running it is so quiet. I have to be very careful how much soap I use, 1 tablespoon is it, anything more and I have a white film on everything. Even after making sure there is nothing blocking the soap area I always have soap residue around the soap dispenser. The hotter water has helped and I run the DW on the heaviest cycle with sanitize, and I still have to pick stuff off.
