Poor performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range overall has been a disappointment. The stove is okay. It cooks hotter than normal but does a good job. The oven, however, cooks a lot hotter than it should. I know this so I adjust the temperature and time that I cook things. Yesterday, however, it burnt cinnamon rolls in 5 minutes at 300 degrees! So after 1 1/2 years its going out! In my opinion, appliances should last a lot longer than that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not Ready for prime time

This product is of poor design and shabby quality. The bottom drawer does not fit properly and is structurally not stable. The range top inserts blistered immediately and I would think twice before buying another Black range due to how it shows dust and spills. Entry level GE applience slides are just not acceptable and the bottom drawer reflects the fact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has wonderful standard, reliable features without forcing unwanted unnecessary electronic controls upon the customer. Has a very attractive appearance and excellent cooking qualities. The only area which could be improved is in the handle to the containment drawer at the bottom of the appliance. I would recommend this appliance to anyone, especially those prefer proven standard controls over unnecessarily complicated electronic controls.

Oven stopped working

A month after exceeding the 1 year warranty, my oven quit heating. The range works fine but the oven cannot bake or broil.I am trying to troubleshoot because I am not too thrilled about calling for service that may cost as much as the original pruchase.

Simple yet satisfies!

I have been using this range for almost a month and it is performing exactly as I expected. I had purchased another brand, but returned it for this one. I use a large pressure canner so I need the coil element and sturdier cooktop that the GE has, the other brand was very flimsy on the top to the point that a heavy pot would make the top pop down in the middle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to clean

It came with the house I bought, one of my oven elements went out but that's life. My home is only 6 years old. I just love it!
