Thoroughly pleased!

I purchased this particular oven for two reasons: 1) It was a reasonable fit to my existing cutout and 2) the easy glide racks were a feature I had to have. My husband modified the cutout slightly and installed the oven without difficulty. After using this product for 6 months, I must say, "I am totally satisfied". It's much more than the reasons we purchased it. The racks are a convenience I would never again by without; the cooking speed and accuracy is right on the money; and the ability to customize the controls to meet my recipes is really a handy feature. When we made the decision to purchase Electrolux, we knew we were paying a premium, but it's been well worth it. When friends visit, I show of my knew oven just like my husband shows off his new flat panel TV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Resolution of initial failure

Familiar with durability and longevity of Electrolux products having resided in Europe and the USA, I chose Electrolux kitchen appliances based on their function, form, and reliability. The wall oven was used three times since installation and after the third use, the main controller circuit board failed. This despite having a whole house surge suppressor on the incoming electrical lines to the house circuit panel. Electrolux technical phone support was efficient and very good at diagnosing and having me confirm the board was bad. I placed a call to the local service provider and was dissapointed when they showed up without the part and informed me they had to verify themselves the part was defective. This led to additional delays as they did not have the part in their stock and had to be located in a warehouse. On top of that, the oven had gone out of warranty due to home construction delays on the part of my initial contractor so this required paying a service charge over $440 to get the oven back in Service.
The oven has been operating almost a full year since the controller was replaced without further issues. It gets a moderate amount of use, performs as expected and is very accurate in maintaining temperature. Cooking results are excellent. The self-cleaning feature works extremely well.This oven has many feautures documented in the user manual that simplifies operation so it pays to familiarize onself with the capabilities this oven has. I am fully satisfied with its performance, features, and appearance.

Nice oven but there's a problem

Love the rolling racks in this oven and the cool touch door. The inside is a beautiful blue. The controls are easy to use and the safety lock is a plus. The convection option is also nice to have.
We have owned ours for 3 years. We use it only once in a while, maybe 2-3 times a month. It no longer heats. At all. Through some research we've found that other people have had similar problems and were able to correct it simply by pressing the reset button. That is the good news. The reset button is located at the back of the wall oven. That is the bad news. Will have to let a repairman come out and charge us to press the button.
I had to give Quality only 1 star as I grew up with stoves that didn't konk out until after a good 15 years or more. For the price I would have expected ours to last way longer than 3 years.
The Features are great, as mentioned above, which is why we chose this oven over so many others.
The Design gets 2 stars -- put the reset button in front, and make the oven more reliable, and that would be worth extra stars!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yes - the oven is amazing - the only problem I am having is the cleaning. Can not get the oven window very clean - is there a cleaning secret for this?

Love our single oven

We've had this oven for a year and are still discovering the amazing features and sophisticated cooking programs. The temperature probe is spot on accurate, and the speed with which the oven preheats is astonishing. Great oven.
