Love it, when it works.. CD won't catch reliably

I love this appliance-- works as expected and has extra features I hadn't considered including audio in (from ipod or pandora on cell phone). However, just after a couple weeks of use, the CD stopped "catching." It would spin the disc, but unless the entire unit was fist-bumped repeatedly (like the old tube-type TV days!), the disc doesn't catch, and the CD won't play. Repeat this cycle several frustrating times, and it finally catches and plays.
I don't know if this is my own unique situation, whether it has to do with the toaster over 1/2ft beneath (!) or whether it is a single unit hardware failure. Wish I were still under warranty-- it even happened within the period.
What's great about it: Great device for the kitchen, nice to have a remote, too.
What's not so great: Installation with spacers was difficult, CD stopped catching.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poorest radio reception

The sound is OK for CDs and Ipod for something in a small box. The radio reception was terrible. The unit uses the power cord as the antenna so there is no way to add a good antenna to improve reception. If you are 15 miles away from the stations you want to listen to, don't buy this one.
What's great about it: looks, I guess
What's not so great: Not functional as radio
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this as a gift for my wife but I have to admit I use it just as much as she does, and we both love it. If asked I would definitely recommend it.

Used in workshop

Previous radio not a different make burned out due to problem with electric voltage from panel.
As I do not use my workshop much anymore because of my age I have not used it too much. But it is doing real well when I do use it. The remote makes it real convient to turn on and off.

Speaker no longer works

I have been enjoying my unit for 3 years, but recently I was getting bad reception and now the speaker no longer works the unit has power and the clock and the cd drawer work but neither the radio nor the cd has sound. Always have been a Sony fan bur very disappointed that I need to replace it
