Disappointed...

We had the original leapster & software, and those games always had several playing options within.
This is basically two things -
1) a cute creative make-a-monster app for photos
(this is why my son picked this app)

2) a maze app with a few mini-games.
My son found the 'challenges' of the mazes irritating and pointless. To him, and most other kiddos I know, the fun of a maze is to get through it quickly and efficiently. This game manages to take out that one fun aspect, as you have to time not being seen by other monsters & collect objects. What was meant to make it challenging just made it annoying.

So much fun!

My 3 year old loves this problem solving game, has several games, and he can even include his face into the "monster" making, along with his monster roar and "scare" the sleeping child in his/her bed. The puzzles, match making and find the monster (which is a lot like the game "guess who?") keeps him entertained on long car rides. We love this game!
Pros: Educational, Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play

My son enjoys playing this game. He does seem to get a little frustrated while playing, but it's mostly if he doesn't listen to the directions.
Pros: Good for on-the-go play

My daughter doesn't take to video games very well. She gets bored & is ready to move on. Monsters University was the opposite. She enjoys playing the game & looks forward to what she can achieve the next day. She really does love this game. It also helped that we had just visited Disney World & she saw a lot of the characters while she was out there.
Pros: Educational, Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play

My daughter is 4. She loves monsters university! She wanted this game and I got it for her... She LOVES it. She thinks its really fun. So do me and her dad. Great game!

A Hit for My Monsters University Fan

I bought this game for my 5 year old when she was feeling under the weather. She loves it even though it is a bit easy for her. The problems solving skills are really nice and she especially enjoys the game where you have to guess the monster who is hiding the scare pig. It is similar to our Guess Who board game. The other part that she really enjoys is recording her own screams and creating her monster. LeapFrog did a great job with this one.
