Great Gadget!

I use the pre-program function to get Sadie going when I'm at work. I come home and find thoroughtly cleaned and designed (Roomba tracks) floors, both carpet and linoleum) and Sadie nested back in her docking station where she started. I use the virtual wall/lighthouses to either keep her confined or progress her to the next room(s). I love the edge feature, but recently Sadie lost one of her appendages so am buying the 3-pack to keep on hand. This machine is reliable and thorough and easily cleanable. The intonations that are built into her are amusing. I'm very glad I purchased this following a conversation with a friend (who ended up purchasing something else and now wishes she'd bought her own Roomba).
Pros: Cleans Effectively, Cleans Under Furniture, Covers Entire Room, Deep Cleaning Ability, Hassle Free Operation, Large Debris Bin, Long Run Time, Pet Friendly
Cons: Can Get Stuck

Have a bag with items for just keeping this 560 clean--dust rag, screw driver, tiny scissors to cut the hair wrapped around, tweezers, new filter (ready)small comb to do the job that the red brush cleaner leaves behind---WAY to much $$$$ for this that doesn't do a deep cleaning, but does a quick job--does get hung up sometimes. Needs to be flatter and not so messy. Gives me a break from my upright though...I hope you working right now on improvements, love the concept. No I was not compensated for THESE comments...

I loved this when I first got it. It worked pretty well. Unfortunately, I have had to put more and more money into it. I purchased new filters, new brush bearings, new bristle brushes, new beater brushes, side brushes, the caster assembly, new gears and now I have to purchase a new cleaning head module. If you have a pet, DO NOT buy this product. It isn't made for picking up pet hair. It's difficult to clean and it just doesn't last.
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Hard To Clean, Noisy, Not good for pet hair
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got this as an anniversary gift and LOVE it. Recommended it to a friend and she went so far as turning on the light for it during the night as 'she didn't want it to get lost'. The only problem is that I have a long haired soft fur cat and it's fur gets stuck in the rollers. But other than that, it's great. Don't remember the last time I actually had to vacumn the house.
Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy To Use, Efficient, Lightweight

Have mine set to automatically start; covers room good, cleans good, a great time saver. Only con I know of is that it is a little time consuming to clean all the hair off the roller ends. I've had it almost a year and wouldn't be without it. Love it !!

Error 9 = Death

The Roomba 500 series vacuum worked great for the first year and then suddenly began doing the Error 9 back up dance (Please search youtube for "Roomba Error 9" for examples). And it appears to be a common problem. This product is not even worth[$], knowing that it will not last longer than a year. Not to mention that it scuffs up furniture and walls (unless you have black walls and black furniture...scary).
Cons: Breaks and Dies, Noisy, Rough on walls, Rough on your furniture, Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Me and my Roomba forever!

I have owned my Roomba (Discovery Series)for about 3 1/2 years now and do not want to live without one again, ever. I replaced the battery once and the filters occasionally. I used to use canned air to clean the dust off but found it to be a mistake, since it messed up my simple clean button. I just use the heavy clean button, which leaves my floors spotless. I do not want to miss my Roomba, not even for a few weeks to have it fixed :-)

My 560 works like a charm. I purchased it 2 months ago and it is still working great! Just I wonder if it will die after a couple years like my following 530. But, it Hans is still holding up. I have a tile kitchen, a beautifull marble hallway, and a carpet living room. He cleans all of them in only a couple hours! By the way, I hav a constantly shedding Rotweiller. I should've got the pet series. But this is just as good.
