battery replaced $75. then it started going in circles. 9 beeps. customer service says it needs replaced. to much $$ to quit so soon. feel they just wanted to sell me a new one. why get another poor product.
Pros: Good when it worked

I LOVE my "Ruby"

Doesn't meet expectations

I've had several roombas and am usually thrilled with them. Many people have bought them on my recommendation. I decided to "upgrade" and buy a more expensive roomba. Unfortunately, the design is not as good as the less expensive models and it picks up about half of the hair and dirt as my previous models. I've watched it completely roll over hair without picking a thing up. If you buy this Rooma and are not satisfied with it, return it immediately, but don't give up. Try another model. They are worth the price, but not this particular design.
Pros: Easy To Empty
Cons: Inefficient, Just pushes dirt around, Poor Design

Cleaning the cleaner

I bought the 560, the biggest, baddest IRobot I could find at the time - like 2011. It does pick up the dirt on the floors. Now there are at least 5 NEW and IMPROVED models. Maybe the problem I have has been solved. But cleaning the thing is the worst. You have to get your hands dirty and pull the hair out of the brushes, and cut the hair wrapped around the ends of the brushes. The brush cleaner they provide does not take out the hair. There are two, retired adults in our household, and no pets. I run it every couple of weeks. I have to clean the brushes, by pulling out the dust and hair every time I use it, which means one room at a time, because it's packed in there. It's not just emptying the dirt bin. I'm ready to find a new lightweight upright vacuum and go back to the days of just changing the dust bag.

Cons: Noisy

Regular household cleaning with pet leads to roller jams as hair gets into rollers ( surprise!) Technical service is useless other than "return it to store that you purchased it from, and buy a different model where we think we have solved the problem"

Great for cleaning when you're not home

The roomba is great when the house is empty during the day. You can leave for work and the house is vacuumed when you get home. Running the roomba every day really helped clean up the dog hair in my house.

Better than kids!

Empty Nesters. We love it. Alfred just cleans and minds his own business. We turn it on on Friday morning before we go to work and when we get home the floor is clean and Alfred is back in his station ready to go again. I go out on the back porch and empty the bin and clean the brushes and bushings (which takes all of 3 minutes). About once a month I blow it out with compressed air. We also purchased the Scooba, we named her Alfreda. Money well spent and unlike the kids were when they were home, Alfred does not backtalk or complain.
