dont buy if you have a dog with long hair golden ect The brush works good at picking up hair but the hair get behind the bearings and it needs to be cleaned out every second time it runs
Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy To Use, Lightweight
Cons: Poor Design

Sufficient, but keep regular Vacuum

First of all this robot is obviously not intended to replace your manual vacuum. And it will not pick up as much or cover the edges like manual vacuuming will. However because it vacuums all on its own it will vacuum everyday and with this much vacuuming it almost makes up the difference. Myself, I vacuum once a month with a normal vac and let Roomba do the rest.
Pros: Automatically Recharges, Everyday Vacuuming, Scheduling
Cons: Battery life 1 year, Frequent Cleaning, Frequent Maintenance, Gets hung up, Misjudge room size, Noisy, costly

I love Raoul!

After watching my sister and mom rave about their robots I was determined to get one of my own. I'm happy to say that "Raoul" is wonderful. I have very hairy dogs and a cat and the unit just keeps on picking the animal hair up. I no longer have to worry about running home ahead of company to make sure the animal hair is up off of the floors! The only flaw is that sometimes Raoul will not mind the virtual wall and will wake my husband up bumping around under the bed at night.
Pros: Easy To Empty, Easy To Use, Efficient, Lightweight, Long Power Cord, Powerful/Good Suction

I have nothing but good results. It works very timely and is efficiet and dependable.Sometimes it gets caught up but that is my falt not the iRobot.My wife and I love it. It cleans carpet and hardwood floors. I recommend it to all my family and friends. Ken Weinand

I have a dog that sheds some, so I can't clean the entire living room without emptying the bin and cleaning the brushes several times, but it is still worth it. It cleans much better than my regular vacuum cleaner. I no longer have to move much of my furniture in order to clean under it. Medusa just goes underneath and cleans beautifully. I plan to upgrade soon to the 760.

Cons: No remote control

Convenient, BUT ...

I use my Roomba for my home. Pros: great to be able to be cleaning something else while it's cleaning the floors. That's great. But it needs to be emptied and the brushes cleaned so frequently during one use that I spend about as much time cleaning it as I would manually vacuuming the entire house. AND, my place isn't that big ... just a 1 bdrm apt.
Pros: Easy To Use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works ok, ruins furniture legs

I loved the roomba the first few months I had it, then it started running for shorter and storter times. Stopped picking up as much dirt and dust. And I noticed that all the furniture has 'rub rings' where the Roomba circles it. Also scuffed all my baseboards. Have to re paint them all to fix.
Pros: Runs on a timer
Cons: Doesn't pick up dirt, Inefficient, Noisy, Poor Design, Rubs paint off chair legs, Scuffs walls, Unreliable

I got my iRobot Rumba three years ago as a gift and I love it. I use it in my kitchen every night after dinner and my floor is clean for the next day. I also use it to clean my hardwood floors, especially under my bed where it is hard to reach. It is amazing how clean the floors are, even in the corners and around chairs. Several of my friends and family members have bought the iRobot Rumba after my recommendation and have been highly pleased with the performance.
