This was not the microwave I wanted, but the cut out size and color selection in what I did want is not made. There is nothing new or special about this microwave, and the trim kit is horribly designed. It stands away from the cabinet, and there is an open area on both sides where the cutout can be seen. I am very disappointed in this piece of our purchase, but all of my appliances are black, and the upgraded microwave to fit a 27 inch space does not come in black. WHY?!?!?
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Nothing special, Poorly designed frame kit

The window steams-up so that you can't see food. Customer service said it was normal. My many other microwaves have not. Maybe only the expensive ones do??

I bought this unit to replace my prior built in microwave, a unit that lasted for over 17 years. The old unit was still in good working order except for the ware and tear on the inside. The dimensions of the new unit match the old one, so it saved me having to have a remodel done. The only con so far is that I am disappointed with the control panel for the new unit! The old unit, I was able to use the panel even without having any of the lights on in the kitchen, however the new one I need the lights on, glasses on and sometimes a flashlight! Also I wish the old trim kit would fit, the new one was a little more difficult to install. All would be good if this new unit lasts as long as my prior one.

We just did a remodel in our kitchen and I have always been happy with JennAir. We purchased all new appliances. I must say I didn't get to see a sample of the microwave at the store only a catalog purchase. I'm very disappointed in the display window. The font is much too small and too light to read without turning on a kitchen light and my putting on my reading glasses. I also think there are too many options in which to use or are needed.
