Very energy efficient, perfect fit, I wanted the more commercial appliance look but could not afford. The handles on this line fulfilled the look that I wanted.

Happy, but...

Always purchase Maytag products, but we have had repair out already on this refrigerator. When you open the left side of the door, the right opens slightly and does not close. Repair person called Maytag and was advised this is a flaw Maytag is currently working on. If that's the case, why is Maytag selling a flawed product? A bit disappointed right now, especially since we paid full price for a product we constantly have to watch to be sure both doors are closed. Until the "flaw" is fixed, I would not recommend this product.

Most previous complaints are really user issues

We purchased this Maytag fridge after doing a great deal of research on the various brands/options available. From all the reviews, it seemed that the majority of customer dissatisfaction with this particular unit stemmed more from user issues than performance or mechanical (as opposed to so many of the other brands which arrived with, or developed, severe defects). The fridge is attractive, efficient and quiet. To address some of the reviewers' complaints: "ice tray overflows and very difficult to retrieve spilled ice from underneath shelf" -- yes, it is very difficult to get to this area of the freezer, but problem is easily headed off by emptying the ice tray BEFORE it gets this full!; "ice cubes continue to shoot out onto bottom of freezer as tray is removed" -- turn off ice maker, remove tray, turn ice maker back on once tray is actually replaced; "right door pops open when closing left door" -- yes, it does, just bend your wrist a bit and close both doors at the same time (there's also an alarm letting you know someone has neglected to do this); "stainless steel is hard to clean" -- this is true of all stainless steel of this particular type (I would have preferred a non-mar stainless finish, but it is not available in this model); "freezer frosts up" -- yes, this happened to me (however, it was totally my fault. I had read the advice not to block the air vents in the fridge or the freezer, but inadvertently stocked the freezer drawer too high, blocking the air vents. The result was a frosted-up freezer. Haven't made that mistake again, and there has been no further issue.) If forced to come up with a negative, all I can come up with would be the thin line of insulation showing at the top corner edge of the fridge door; however, no one even notices it but me. All-in-all, I am very pleased with this Maytag Counter Depth Frenchdoor fridge. I was upset about having to replace our 15 yr old cabinet-finished model, but I do have to say that I really like this one.

Love this refrigerator and is going to look great in our remodel. Can not believe how crisp it keeps veggies in the drawer and the water inside the refrigerator is different but great to have. I am so happy with this purchase
