Big Mistake

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The heat does not stay constant and often runs lower then the thermometer states. The fan that runs as soon as you turn it on is extremely loud and runs for up to 30 minutes after it is turned off. This was not supposed to be a convection oven and in fact it is not but it still has this ridiculous fan that runs as soon as it is turned on. I cannot recommend this oven to anyone.

Horrible whistle noise.

I bought this two months ago and the noise is such a high pitched whine I have to wear ear plugs while baking. I have read that Maytag will delete this post! Maytag will give me no compensation. I did not know how horrible the noise would be until it was installed. Do not buy this oven. Do research on the noise of wall ovens. I have since read their are other brands that make less fan noise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great ovens

I have been using these ovens for a little over 3 mos. now and could not be more pleased. It is very convenient having the 2 ovens. I am looking forward to the holidays when in the past I have always had a shortage of oven space. This was a good choice.

Waiting to see.....

I bought this 3 weeks ago and it was installed the day before Thanksgiving. I really like the space but the temperature cannot be calibrated...Overcooked my kugel and pie...service came out and validated that temperature is not right, so I am getting a replacement unit. If that works as it should, I expect I will be pleased with the unit (although I agree that the fan is annoying and not something my old oven did)

I bought this double oven a week after my purchase of a new Maytag dishwasher. I already owned a laundry pair for over 20 years, and I am very happy with my new oven. I do a lot of baking and it bakes wonderfully. It looks great, it's quiet, and it's built in the USA! Another happy Maytag owner live in this house. Thanks, Alan Rubin
