Nice design

The ice maker is extremely loud when it dumps the ice.The ice and water maker in the door take up way too much storage space. I could live without that feature.The inside is cheaply made with plastic shelves and drawers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

been a week since I had my maytag dude-by-side refrigerator delivered replacing a 13 year old maytag dude-by-side refrigerator that stopped keeping the refrigerator cold. the new maytag replacement hopefully will last as long as the last maytag unit. only thing I find it hard to get use to us the glass shelf in freezer after having metal baskets.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Spacious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I am very happy with the side by side Refrigerator. It is spacious and I as able to fit more in it than in the old side by side. The only problem we have had is the ice cubes have a bad taste. I don't know if it is manufacturing or installation, but it taste oily, like WD-40 smells. We taste the ice cubes daily and dump them each evening to get fresh ones made. I has taken over a week and they still taste, but not quite as badly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the design inside but overall not happy

About a month after delivery the Ice Maker quit. A new Ice Maker was ordered and replaced along with a new control board on the back of fridge. Also the crisper drawer was broken upon delivery and had to be replaced.Also the water dispenser does not dispense cold water. I'm told we use it too fast to be cold. Really?? first or second glass in the morning is never cold. I'm thinking it is a design flaw. My old one the water was cold every time. Wishing I had gotten the same brand rather than a Maytag. The only thing I like about the Maytag is the inside configuration of shelves and compartments.

I have never had a whole new kitchen at the same time and I was so excited. My excitement was very short lived. My refrigerator was back ordered so I waited 3 weeks. When then it was finally delivered, it came with a broken door in the refridgerator. I believe they are working on replacing that part, but still unfortunate. I love the overall look of the fridge but I dislike so many things about it. The top shelf is so close to the top that the light gets in the way when getting anything full size in or out of that spot. The top shelf seems like the logical spot for juice or half gallons or overflow gallon and they have to go in sideways to get in and out. The ice maker is so slow and noisy. I do think that it has yet to fill up the bucket completely because it can't meet my family of fours demands. I don't think it will make it through an evening with guests! The lettering on the buttons on the front that read dispense ice and dispense water have rubbed off (keep in mind that this refridgerator was deliverd less than one week ago. I feel so angry and wish I had chosen a totally different brand, at this point.
