Great for my filthy family

So I have kids and animals (wild and pets). And the dog gets to sleep on the bed. I can wash my king comforter is this machine rather than go to the laundry mat. Yay! Also comes in handy when my teens only pick up dirty clothes once a month so have giant loads to do. As for the wildlife I rehabilitate, the 'sanitize cycle' assures me that the germs get washed away. Very happy with it so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Washer

I was very skeptical about a front load washer because of all the horrible things I had heard about them when they first came out. Not to worry! If you follow the directions in the booklet, you will be fine! I love all the choices of wash cycles that I now have and they are all good! All the horror stories are not to be believed.The only criticism of the machine I have is that the front panel controls are very sensitive to leaning. I am a short person (5'3") with shelves above the washer and I change or pause my wash cycles often. Luckily the washer "sings" to you when you change settings so you can correct what you changed.All in all, I am very happy with the capacity and function of this washing machine.

Black mold is no fun

I've used this watcher for 8 months. It cleans the clothes nicely but the mold has begun, even using the Affresh. I dry the gasket after every wash and take out the detergent holder and pour the water out. I don't put the dispenser back until the next time I wash. May tag -you have to solve this problem!!!

Worst washer! Ever!

My husband and I purchased this washer/dryer about a year and a half ago. Honestly I have never been so dissatisfied with something in my life. Having the "Maytag" name I thought we couldn't go wrong, but we did.Plain and simple: clothes do not come clean! I have tried everything. We clean the washing machine often. We don't put huge loads in it (even though it's a high capacity washer) use les detergent. But nothing seems to matter. The clothes come out smelling awful! I washed a load of shirts, literally 4 shirts..alone...3 times.... and they still smelt terrible! We had a technician come out to relook at the washer and mechanically he said everything was perfect... but he said that it doesn't use enough water. Lots of people have complained about the same thing to him. Honestly.... this was an expensive mistake!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

shoddy workmanship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to have it repaired 10 months after buying it, seems they didnt attach a couple of simple wire holders which kept vibrating and making more and more noise. they need better Quality control at the factory!

A perfect pair

Recently purchased this washing machine and its matching dryer. I've been delighted with both. Clothes come out of the washer much dryer than with my old top loader, saving significant electricity when drying indoors during cold and snowy weather. In addition, they can be stacked - a real space saver!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could be better

This washer is ok but should have a perma press cycle. It should also have an option to increase the water level in the wash cycle. This causes the use of laundry pods to not melt because of a lack of water. The other reviews I read on line do not reflect the true nature of this washer in my opinion.
