Great dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a little over a month ago to replace a dryer that was a hand-me-down unit from a relative. My wife and I were glad to find this unit to be noticeably quieter than our previous one, with a much greater capacity. Love the clean, classic look of the white, while the black/smokey door adds some pop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure why the normal cycle is 78 minutes- the amount of time doesn't seem to change based on load size. I thought the sensors would determine 'dry time.' Anyhow, even with that amount of time, my stuff doesn't always come out uniformly dry. I've been using inexpensive analog dryers my whole life, and this is nothing special compared to those. I take a certain pleasure in changing the lint screen- it has a nice feel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Based on area availability, I had to buy a stacked washer/dryer duet. I wasn't very happy that I couldn't get the standard side-by-side washer/dryer but I wouldn't trade my Maytag stacked washer/dryer for anything else now! They are extremely quiet with many great features. I also had concerns that at 5' 4" I'd have to use a stool to reach inside both but that's not an issue either. They're the best!

This dryers works wonderfully! I am impressed with the efficiency and quietness of the unit. I have this off my kitchen and I forget it is running. It does make a flame burner noise when the gas kicks on or off but that seems to be not too often. Doesn't overdry, just right!

You really NEED the stand to set the dryer on

The dryer works wonderfully. I am very pleased. There is one thing a person should know though, a person needs the stands they build to set the dryer on. Due to the lack of room under the cupboard over the dryer space I did NOT purchase the 14" stand to put the dryer on. The has a very large drum so I have to get on my knees to unload it. I am NOT happy about that. The 14" stand SHOULD be recommended with this washer/dryer set.
