Trouble in Paradise

For the second time in 8 months our electric range is down and out. The problem is, the self-cleaning cycle burns out a control board. The cleaning cycle stops, the oven doors are locked shut, and the control panel is inoperative with no lights or anything working. In a nutshell, it is dead in the water.
We use this applliance every day for at least 2 meals. Most all other features work fine and we are pleased from that aspect. However, after the first time the cleaning cycle killed the range we bought the extended warrenty. Now it has happened again. I would strongly recommend all owners of this range purchase the extended warrenty when offered. However, what assurance do we have that when fixed, it won't happen again? We wouild like a new range, but I am sure that won't happen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Electrolux Electric range we purchased required a service call to replace the digital circuit card for the touch insturment panel on the back face of the range. Electrolux sent the replacement right to my home, and a service repair center sent a technician to relace it in a week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only took 20 years to get a fabulous new range!

I love my new Electrolux range. It looks beautiful & it has a lot of nice features that my previous range did not, like the perfect turkey option & the heat indicators to show that the burners are still hot to the touch. I also like the fact that it has a double oven, which will be nice at holiday time when there are always too many things that need to be cooked at once. I am excited to cook meals for my friends & family!

Great range!

Love the range. So far I have used the regular baking mode to cook a beef tenderloin and the convection roast to finish cooking ribs which were smoked part way in a smoker. No complaints other than I actually had to read the manual to figure a few of the options out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Enjoying a updated oven

We enjoy our oven.. The nice features of the oven shelves gliding out is wonderful.. Also being able to bake in two ovens at one time is wonderful.. The oven and burners heat up much faster than my old one... Only concern I have is keeping the top of the range from not scratching where the pots sit. I seem to have a ring on the burners that I use the most... I have used the cleaner but the ring is still there. Oven cleans very nicely with the oven cleaner.

The range does a wonderful job. The cooktop heats rapidly and evenly. The oven does an equally good job. I do a great deal of cooking and find the racks in the oven difficult to use and clean.
