Super Sleek Range

I absolutely love this product. The wave touch is so cool, and the fact that I can change the size of the eyes to fit the pot that I need is so convenient. It has a sleek luxurious look it is gorgeous! I love the probe that helps me make the best turkey, roast and ham in the world. It took some getting used to for me a woman who has cooked on a coil electric range all of her life but I am loving it. The Electrolux Company stand by their products and are there for any problem you may have. They are very courteous and prompt with answers to even my most ridiculous questions. Thank you Electrolux for such a nice product.

A little luxury in my single guy life

I bought my range a little over a year ago and think its the bomb. For whatever reason, my kitchen was not plumbed for gas and so I've had to use electric ranges for the 25 years I've been here. This range replaces another smooth top that had worn out. However, I do use gas ranges at friends' houses and can make some comparison.
Without a doubt, this is the best range I've used. The cook top heats up about as fast as regular gas stoves but the heat is much more even and that means I don't get hot spots on any parts of my pans. (The gas ranges I use seem to heat the outer edge more than the middle.) What's better is that over time, the digital controls take the guess work out of getting the heat right. For example, rice and grains are as easy (or easier) to cook in a plain old pan on this range than in a specialty rice cooker. I just set the water on high to boil, then click it to the 1.8 setting after I add the rice and wait until its done. No burning, perfect outcome.
The main oven is fantastic. I usually use a convection setting so the temperature is just right throughout the oven. Baking and roasting is great. The controls are a little complicated so it's well worth the time to study this manual.
The lower oven -- well -- its mostly serviceable. The heat in there isn't anywhere near as even as the top oven and it's hard to cook in it. It's even hard to cook cookies in it. However, it does make for a nice warming oven and it is useful for cooking simpler things while the top oven is busy.

excellent range

We bought this range in Dec just prior to Christmas. The perfect turkey setting does really make a perfect turkey. The burners heat up very quickly and it is easy to adjust the temperature of them. the 2 ovens have been used many times when cooking meals for the whole family - I would not go back to just 1 oven again. Wonderful range, I would highly recommend it.

A great addition to our kitchen

This is by far the best Range we have ever had. It was a replacement for a Gas Range. I am very happy with the precise and repetitive temperature settings. The operating cost is equivalent with the our previous Gas Range. I believe that this is because of the higher heating efficiency having no combustion loses.
After investigating various makers we decided, in spite of the higher cost, for the Electrolux brand because of its clean, aesthetic appearance, the overall quality and the fantastic simple and safe wave touch control panel (no knobs). The cook top and the ovens are very easy to clean as well. The "Luxury-Glide" oven racks work effortless once a correct food grade lubricant was applied the the bearings.
I can highly recommend this appliance for any serious cooking.

How sweet it is...

I am in love!
Roasted potatoes take half the time, water boils SO much faster. Cooking dinner every day is a breeze in comparison to my last stove!
It's SO easy to keep the top clean.
The oven racks that "glide" are genius!
All of this function packed into such a sleek cool looking form, who says you can't have it all?
Thank you Electrolux for making my life as a working mom just a little bit easier!

Excellent Quality and Excellent Performance

We've had the range for a few months. It blows away our previous one. Excellent controls, heats up quickly, and relatively easy to clean. We bought new pans, since we were using cast iron and didn't want to scratch the surface...at least not for a while. The oven is really good. Well insulated and until we figured it out some more, we had a tendency to overcook (and burn, sometimes). The sliding racks are nice, too, though it would be nice if when you clean the oven you can leave them inside. Electrolux recommends taking them out for cleaning. This is a minor thing and doesn't count for much. Overall, we are very happy with the stove and we hope it will hold up over the years.

I purchased this range 18 months ago. I was so excited to get my new electrolux appliances. The wonderful advertisements made them out to be such great appliances. I was very unimpressed with the true convection. I had very distinct hot spots and could bearly bake one sheet of cookies at time, let alone two. The wave touch is a cool idea but the control panel is constantly covered in fingerprints. These minor details aside, the range is simply of poor quality. After six months of using mine, I decided to do a self-clean. The control panel got so hot that it was totally ruined. I had this range replaced and now, after a year of having my new one, the fan quit working properly. I have had nothing but problems with all of my electrolux appliances. In my opinion, if you would like to have a beautiful set of appliances that will wow all your friends with thier lights and controls then this is the range for you. But, if you actually would like your range to be used for cooking/baking then don't even be tempted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
