Worst camera !

Very slow aperture at telephoto end. Taken away some features such as viewfinder sensor, DC current input .
Only 2 megapixel boosted, slower zooming speed as compared to Hx200v, same 1/3 sensor, image quality and sharpness is lost at telephoto end, same old features.

I was expecting more but this time it is worst than ever.
What's great about it: 50x zoom, New optical stabilization, Filter tread.
What's not so great: Very slow aperture at telephoto end. Taken away some features ...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Perfect Camera To Turn Dreams Into Reality

Sony's motto of "Make.Believe" is one that I have been living with for a few years now.
I had the HX100v for a year, and broke it, sadly, but in 1 year, I created so much content that I can enjoy. From hundreds of cloud shots, parades, family moments, monuments and many concert moments from my favorite artists.
The HX300, with the 50X zoom will only make my artistic goals even more ambitious. Throw in cool artistic features (Toy Camera, miniature), 360 degree panorama, 1080p 60fps video recording, and the small convenient size, I am overwhelmed with the amount of possibilities that can be created with this camera.
Now that I have every single feature I want in a camera, all I have to do is wait for the release!
What's great about it: 1080p, 360 Panorama, 50X Zoom, Photo Effects, 20MP
What's not so great: April Release Date
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best camera I've ever had. Easy to use, light weight, great zoom, and easy for a novice to use. Easy to download picture to computer. Still learning about the camera but it is so easy. Point & shoot. Pictures are sharp and beautiful.

Decent super zoom, but hard to focus at full zoom

I owned this camera for 3 years and finally sold it. Decent pictures, good stabilizer, but VERY hard to focus shots at full zoom. It's also slow to recover between shots. I finally gave up and moved on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased this camera for taking pictures at our quilt guild. There are 2-3 people who use the camera regularly. Learning curve was minimal. I do the editing of the photos prior to posting onto a public website and for members to look at. With prior, worn-out camera, I spent time making color & lighting corrections on nearly every photo. I have had to do that with only 2 of nearly 100 pictures taken. Very pleased with detail that is shown.
Would have been a better accessory package if they included a full-sized tripod instead of the table mount and the useless (to us) even smaller one.

Use to love Sony NOT ANYMORE

After all my life using sony products this is the END, they ruined my memories for my daughters wedding because the stablizer in the H300 goes out when you try to film or take pictures of very blue scenery
