Good washer, utensil tray could be improved

I needed a quick replacement for a DW from another company that was destroyed by mice (they ate the wiring harness...all of it). My local appliance store steered me to this Whirlpool unit, as the one feature I wanted was a black finish, not stainless as the current trend goes, and the fact that it was in stock.I like how the dish trays can be filled up pretty much in any orientation, allowing for various sized items. I have only used the 'Sensor' wash function, but like the fact that there is a few options.I would rather it have top mounted functions buttons, but even though this model has front mounted ones, they are very low profile and don't look cheap.I do not like the utensil tray, it feels flimsy and easily falls off the hooks. Also, when you pull out the bottom rack, you want to pull on the utensil tray, but that is one of the thigs tay will make it fall off.Overall, this is a good unit for what we needed and it's price point.

Purchased this dishwasher because of whirlpool's reputation and I am not disappointed. The dishwasher is so quiet that I have to check it several times to make sure it's running. Has lots of room and very easy to load and use.

I bought this dishwasher late last December 2014. I installed it myself. Installation was simple and straightforward. Dishwasher does a great job in all the cycles I have tried. So far I tried the "1 HR", "Normal" Gets dishes really clean.Racks are very flexible as far as different configurations on loading. This dishwasher has the silverware holder on the door which is great. Cause it leaves more space for dishes on the bottom rack.This dishwasher is very efficient only uses around 5 gals of water for most cycles. We use the cascade Platinum plus, with cascade rinse. Have well water with a little black sand in it. But does not effect dishwasher with its screen on the water inlet supply. I will have to probably clean out screen every year or so. I have many Whirlpool products and have never been disappointed! I would highly recommend this Almost forgot to mention this thing is very quiet! Only way I know its on is looking at the indicator lights!dishwasher.
