My good wife is hard to please in the kitchen, but the 583-0 has pleased her 100 percent. That pleased me as well

This looks great in are remodeled kitchen! Has many nice features. It is quiet when running and the outside is easy to clean. Stays nice and shiny.

Cleans well, but not user friendly

Cleans well and dries well with soft water. Silverware basket is too small, so I put the basket from my previous machine in the lower rack and suffer loss of space. Biggest nusisance relates to the lower rack. You can't just open the door and pull it out, it is a two handed operation. You have to hold the door all the way down with one hand and pull out the rack with the other.

I am not happy with this product only had it for a short time and have to call to get it fixed. The clean light doesn't come on.

This washer doesn't have all the bells and whistles as other high priced ones. I like the simplicity of it, it washes the dishes very well! For the money you can't beat it! Its also pretty quiet too which is a huge plus!

Very happy with this dishwasher

I've only had this dishwasher a couple of weeks so it's still new and I haven't used all of the various cycles, but overall I'm very happy with it's performance. This dishwasher replaced a 19-year-old Whirlpool dishwasher that was still working great when I replaced it with this one. Because the one I replaced was working so well, there are certain things I miss from the older one that are different from this one. My old one had a white interior and this new one has a gray interior so it's a little harder to see things, like the silverware. My only minor complaint is the door when it's open. It tends to spring up a little bit. My husband adjusted the tension (the directions to do this are in the installation manual) but it still does it a little bit, which means that if the bottom rack is rolled out and not very full, it rolls back into the dishwasher. The bottom rack needs to be pulled out all the way, and full of dishes in order for the door to remain flat while open. On the plus side, the dishwasher is super quiet. That wasn't really an important factor for me while choosing this, but compared to my old one which was much louder, this one is remarkably quiet - so much so that the first couple of times I ran it, I wasn't sure it was even running. It was. And the performance is great. The dishes come out very clean. I haven't tried pots/pans yet, so I don't know about that, but I've done heavy loads of dishes and they come out as clean as you'd expect. A very good dishwasher that I would definitely recommend.
