At first I was very excited about my purchase. I bought this smart TV so I could get rid of Cable TV and Stream from the internet instead. Basically, all you get is Netflix. and a slim pick of others. This TV WILL NOT ALLOW you to add any additional apps.You will need to buy a ROKU HDMI connection ($48.00) to get HULU Plus and a whole bunch of other channel selections. Also be aware that such channels as FXNOW are not available unless you keep your cable service and have a paid subscription... Cable companies are getting smart and blocking you from accessing specific channels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got this TV at a low price and it still has the great Sony quality I expect. Picture is exceptional and very bright - easy to see both at daytime and night. With other features like 3 HDMI inputs, extremely slim and attractive bezel, easy setup and smart functions, this TV cannot be beat. The sound is better then expected, but decided to upgrade and got a Sony H1-XT1 Sound base and the combination is excellent. Very happy with the Sony products and quality.
