Full featured, reliable

I bought the cook top several months ago and have used it daily since. Learning the touch controls took only a few minutes. They are fairly intuitive, although one has to count the number of lighted diodes to know what a burner is set on instead of having the that number displayed on the burner. The ceramic to seems rugged and is very easy to clean.
Pros: Features/Settings, Performance, Quality, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to install and easy to use

This unit was a breeze to install. It's one of the shortest induction cook tops made which made it easy to install in a pre-existing cut-out. Instructions are clear and easy to operate. Faster than gas when it comes to heating. Great value.
Pros: easy to use

It is as useless as a rubber beak on a Woodpecker. Worked for about a month then when I tried to use it it beeped and blinked and shut down.

Was good when it worked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked it until the beeping started. It's not that it was even over used, it just started beeping. Every 2 minutes or so there is a series of beeps and it is constant with not solution in sight. I'm in the process of having it removed and another brand installed. I would not choose an LG induction cooktop again

Induction good. Touch not so much

Clearly induction is better. Induction is new and currently overpriced. I had difficulty finding quality cookware that would work (having to replace everything I had). With my best pan I can bring water to boil, remove the pan and the surface is not too hot to touch (awesome). When I turn it off, the heat is INSTANTLY stopped (amazing). The included pan is a nice bonus.
con-My only complaint is the sensitivity of the touch controls. There have been times I put my finger on a button and nothing happens, yet I've had water boil over and cause the entire surface to go nuts...lights start blinking, letters flashing. Causing me to turn the whole thing off to reset and start completely over turning the elements back where they were.
Pros: Quality

Better than Gas!

I had been looking for an induction cook top for such a long time, and finally found one with the feature I wanted: the induction bridge element. According to my serial number, I have the 37th unit ever made. I had to wait a long time after my purchase for the unit to ship--online shopping allowed me to buy it before it was actually in production, but that was a unique problem. Now that the unit is in production they are quickly available.
This unit is beautifully designed, so sleek and modern looking. My friends all marvel at induction (magic) and the look of this unit (cool). Liquid spills can quickly freak out the touch-controls and force you to reset the device once you've mopped up the spill. It's got great power and easy to see and use heating zones. Lots of cooking options for a 30" top with four elements. The one minus: bridge element is misleading. It is not truly a "rectangular" heat zone, it is simply simultaneous control of the two right zones as a single entity (two circles of heating power) rather than two circles with a "bridge" zone linking the two. As long as you know this, and don't expect completely uniform cooking on the entire griddle surface, you'll be fine. As this is an induction, the surfaces stay clean (even with spills): the cook top doesn't heat up, just the pot/pan. so the cook top remains cooler and food doesn't burn on. The controls are instant and easy to fine tune. This cook top is amazing for everything for high-heat wok cooking (w/ flat bottom wok) to braising of meats and slow cooking. I love this cook top!
