Works great.

I had this unit paired to my Samsung SGS3 and cranking the tunes withing 5 minutes of opening the box.
I barely glanced at the instructions, it was so easy to set up. If you have paired a bluetooth device before, this is the same. Turn it on, scan for new devices with your media source and select the JBL Charge.
I was also rather impressed with the sound quality. It's no 12" subwoofer, but its bass performance was certainly respectable (and surprisingly solid sounding) when blasting out the likes of Felxprod, Knife Party, Klaypex and the like.
Add to that the ability to charge your device, and you can crank music all day. Nice.
If it were capable of doing speaker phone duties, that would be the icing on the cake, but I bought it for the music not high fidelity calls to my mum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I play music in the gym while coaching practices because I can move about the gym and control the volume and music with my phone. The sound is amazing for it's size and can fill the room even with lots of chatter from the athletes. I can be anywhere and have a continuous connection even across the length of the gym. It is loud enough for my athletes to stay focused and have fun. It gets knocked off the bleachers a lot and it is still working.

I'm a sound engineer and I've been using JBL since the 70's, (before they made home stereo speakers systems). It was all pro sound reinforcement at that time (large PA systems for touring bands) the reason the JBL's sound better than the other guy's making similar products is... this is what JBL does and has been doing since the 60's. always at the leading edge of speaker technology. I just bought the JBL Charge and love it! for better low end sound, try putting your JBL Charge in a corner about a foot from the corner. makes it sound even better than it already does.

After borrowing a JBL Charge (for camping trips) twice from a friend, I finally decided to purchase my very own. I am very pleased with the purchase. When camping over a weekend, the Charge easily lasts the entire time. We play music for a few hours each day, so I've only tested it to about 9 hours. I have also used it to charge our portable devices while camping. It hasn't run out of juice on me yet! I start each camping trip with a full charge though.
And at home, I have it set up on a window ledge in the bathroom so that I can listen to my favorite tunes while I am getting ready for work in the morning. It starts my day off right to have my music to brighten my morning. Whenever the Charge gets down to one blue dot (low power), I just recharge it at the other end of the bathroom and then put it right back on the shelf. It never takes more than a few hours to get a full recharge. I am most impressed and glad I made this purchase!
I would highly recommend this product!

This was a great addition to my bluetooth audio devices. I have a Bang & Olufsen for iPad, Bose Soundlink and now JBL Charge. Very portable. Slips in golf bag and plays a long time on one charge. Fits right in cupholder. The only downside is no microphone for phone calls.

Rich sound, easy to use!

I bought this speaker along with a new tablet so that I might listen to Pandora radio at home, but am finding this speaker is even MORE awesome when used with my Smart phone. The sound is incredibly crisp and clear, no distortion whatsoever at loud volumes. Very easy to switch between devices. To save on battery life, I turn the volume up all the way on my DEVICE, so that I can keep the speaker adjusted slightly lower. Love the port that allows me to charge my cell on the run. Super product!

Awesome speaker

I use this speaker everyday. going to bed to listen to radio programs I stream from my phone, on the golf course, on the fishing pier, when i am away from my vehicle and home to charge my phone. the battery last FOREVER!
