INK EATER!!!!!!!!!!!

This printer should be called the Ink Eater! It drinks ink even when it isn't being used. I have had many printers over the years and I have never had one that used ink like this without any adjustment to use lesser amounts of ink. If you put it on draft you can't read it. Draft is a useless setting. I would hate to have it on good copy. I used 15 cartridges to print 140 Christmas Cards both sides. I want to like this machine but I can't afford it.

Short Ink Life

We bought this printer in March. We never used the colored inks and have had to replace them. Once the printer decides that the ink is low, you must change the cartridges. It also knows if they are the same ones if you pull them out and put back in. It took several tries of checking the nozzles and cleaning the heads to get the machine to print properly again. The paper jams if not perfect and it would not take a heavier stock paper to print and invitation.
Technician on the phone was very hard to understand when I called for help.

Never ever buy Epson

This is my 4th Epson printer since 1995 and they are the most expensive to own, after only 50 black ink only copies it calls for color inks to be replaced, never ever will I buy any Epson product, done.

Good but not great

Document feeder unreliable. Paper holder can be a bit of a pain to load. Ink cartridges don't last very long. It's not very quiet and when loading a sheet of paper from the paper holder it is very loud. Overall, I'm reasonably satisfied but would probably not buy this model again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

CX9400Fax Printer

I love this printer it will do everything you want it to. It faxes, prints, scans and makes copies. I would reccomend this product to anyone looking for an all in one. The colors come out very good and I cant say that for some of my old printers. They are nice and vibrant and the cartridges are very decently priced. The only downside to the printer is it is a bit noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Printer

This is a good printer that give's you very good Black and color print's. The price is competative with similar printers that have the same functions. The only downside is that the printer is noisy when printing. The ink prices at Epson are very good. The ink can ship overnight if you are running low.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the CX9400Fax in Jan 08. After about 10 scans using the automatic document feeder, a dark vertical line appeared, and got darker with more scans. After following all trouble shooting instructions, called the tech, and he said it was not repairable. Epson mailed me another CX9400Fax... postage paid. That was in June, and so far so good. Will let you know if I have problems with it. Otherwise I am pleased with the performance.
A little tricky to get it hooked to the phone line with a answering machine, for faxing... check on all the settings, prior to using, and do a test run.
This is my 3rd Epson printer, over the last 12 years, and overall I am very pleased with their quality.
