Not so good

I have used Seiko label printers for years - very good. I took a chance on a Brother 500. It is fast but the software is a mess and it does not print postal scanner codes. Too bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Brother QL-500 Label printer is wonderful, and suits the demands of my position as executive administrative assistant for the Director of our Institute. Ive been using the label printer for over 5 years and have not had a breakdown or problem with it's performance. It even prints vertically!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had this printer for a couple of years and it has been indispensable for printing address labels quickly and with a professional look. When used with the P-Touch Address book you can have your address label printed in seconds. The only downside is if you want to make a different address label (such as a shipping label) it is kind of a hassle changing the rolls.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This has proven to be a great little label printer and I use it frequently in my home-based business. Much easier to use than trying to print out an envelope on my laser. I've yet to see a printer that doesn't frequently crumple envelopes. I just zip out a fool-proof label and voila! it's done.

Excellent printer lousy labels & support

I own or managed about 4 of these printers. The printers are excellent, not so the supplies.
Labels do not always stick well on a variety of normal surfaces, new cardboard boxes, envelopes etc.
If the surface has ANY texture to it, you will likely have the label lift at the edges or come off.
I contacted support several times and worked with Tyrone. Even sent samples of the materials being used as well as label samples. After many weeks of waiting I contacted them again, they were going to ship out two rolls of labels as a replacement.
Never received anything.
Bottom line: Excellent printer, poor label adhesive and really lousy support staff.
I would recommend this to a friend!
