Water leaks down through to the tray while brewing and sits in the metal container holding the coffee (I have cleaned and used wire to be sure opening is patent). Machine is loud. The steamer only works if you turn dial to water function first

It works partially because when I put the coffee in using the manual press, the coffee doesn't usually come out :(
It seems that the machine does not have enough force to eject the water.

My espresso doesn't brew hot enough, so I need to nuke it in the microwave before drinking. Also, I'd like the brewing to stop automatically so I don't have to monitor the output. If I don't stop it in time, I get watered down espresso.

I've had my espresso maker for about three weeks and use it almost daily. It was easy to get started, but I will say that had I not received it as a retirement gift and thus have the luxury of time. I would not be able to enjoy it as often. It is completely manual and each cup is a bit of a process and there is definitely clean up involved. So worth it though, because the results are so yummy!

I have mastered the making of the espresso, however, steaming the milk and trying to follow the instructions isn’t as simple as it seems. For some reason I can’t switch both switches to steam as the directions say and when I steam the milk, it just adds a bunch of water to it making it useless. What’s the trick? It shouldn’t be this hard.

Great basic espresso machine, has a few glitches, sometimes the power button gets stuck and you can't turn it on. And the coffee filters will get clogged and there no real way to clean them. but it's good, makes really great lattes
